Sloppy, and rushed repairs put you in harm's way ***Note the number of reviews mentioning oil change issues on Google*** I got insight into the type of operation Gyro's running ***Note the number of reviews mentioning oil change issues on Google*** I got insight into the type of operation Gyro's running when I booked an oil change for my new 2017 Mazda 3 GS. After witnessing an argument in front of several customers between a mechanic and service advisor during that first service appointment I knew they weren’t going to see another penny from me. In the few weeks afterwards everything seemed fine. Then the problems started. The car was idling rough and loud, which is unusual if you’re familiar with the GS’s 2.0 engine. Before long I was noticing that the engine was holding onto gears when in full-automatic mode, which is also not normal. Finally, I noticed a rattling that I would describe as similar to a loose heat-shield. My schedule didn’t allow me to get in to a dealership until mid-October. I called Mazda of Toronto and scheduled a time to bring my car in. I was impressed by their professionalism and amazed at the contrast between the two dealerships. Shortly after dropping the car off I received a call – there was a problem. They asked me where I got my oil changed last. I explained that it was at Gyro Mazda. They proceeded to tell me that my dipstick was DRY, as a result of the plug not being securely replaced and the oil leaking out of my engine. My car was leaking all over the road over several weeks. They expressed shock that this could have happened and mentioned they would indicate their findings on my service statement so that I may address it with Gyro Mazda. I was incensed. I headed straight to Gyro Mazda and asked to speak to Paul, one of the dealer principals. He greeted me, and deciding at the time that I didn’t want what I had to say next to chase people out of their showroom, I asked if we could head into his office. I then proceeded to unload on him, expressing first my disappointment with the conduct of his staff when I brought the car in for service, and then for the ineptitude of his staff in fouling-up what should have been a simple oil change. Their sloppiness and apparent rush to catch up on a day they were far behind schedule resulted in my family and I being put in harm’s way and I was livid. I stated that I expected him pay for the oil change Mazda of Toronto performed, and that he had a xxxx of a lot more to do to make things right. Having spoken my peace knowing he could offer me nothing else at the time but an apology, I stormed out telling him that he had my number and he could call me when he figured out what he was going to do. He did nothing. I emailed him a few days later, indicating he had ample opportunity to get back to me and he chose not to, so I no longer needed to speak with him – I’d take the matter up with Mazda Canada. He had his Service Manager leave me a message. Too little, too late. Mazda Canada, to their credit, helped with what had been a frustrating experience. When I asked about the credit Gyro Mazda owed me, they were very clear – Gyro Mazda is adamant about not reimbursing me because of my “conduct at their dealership”. I was in shock. My conduct? I said what I had to say in the privacy of an office. To a person I had assessed to be a grown-up. Away from other customers about to make the mistake of handing over to Gyro their hard-earned money. I clearly offended Paul’s very delicate sensibilities, but the fact is that THEY SCREWED UP A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE THAT PUT MY FAMILY AND I AT RISK OF A SEIZED ENGINE ON THE HIGHWAY. And here we are. Mazda Canada and Mazda of Toronto have been excellent, and Gyro Mazda’s leadership (and I make this distinction having found the rest of their staff at the dealership polite and friendly) are conducting themselves like petulant children because I didn’t mince words explaining their responsibility in the matter. Gyro Mazda, you owe me money for service I paid for but didn’t receive. Period. More

God awful service It absolutely boggles my mind how this place stays in business. They did such a great job selling me a vehicle and then turned around w a service divi It absolutely boggles my mind how this place stays in business. They did such a great job selling me a vehicle and then turned around w a service division that is beyond horrible. I've been trying to get the same thing fixed for almost three years now and they have somehow messed it up every. Single. Time. From poor communication to lack of being able to fix my car to (the worst part) never accepting blame for their many-many mistakes. The worst part is that it feels like the sales team doesn't want anything to do with me now when I ask for help. I''m excited to see how they try and keep me on when my lease is up..... Bottom line, I wouldn't buy anything from them. Not even a set of dice for my rear view mirror. More

Horrible communication and customer service skill I have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata, and been driving this car for about 6 years and got decent satisfactory service from my car. Hyundai issued two recalls I have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata, and been driving this car for about 6 years and got decent satisfactory service from my car. Hyundai issued two recalls on this car and I went Gyro Hyundai (It is also the Mazda dealer with same name right across the same street 134 Laird Dr Toronto, ON M4G 3V7 which I purchased one Mazda 3 from them last year for my household) to be taken care of it on Aug 17 after hours. I left my car in their parking lot left my note stating that " please complete and fix the recalls on this vehicle and please give me estimate on driver side sun wiser". Next day, I got a call from a service representative and he informed me about recalls that will be taken care of and sun wiser price is $69+charge+HST they also would charge me rebooting and recharging my battery as it was drained of $24+HST and I authorized them to do all. And these procedure was going to take 2 days and no one called me by the mid 3th day and I decided go there on my own decision and when I went to the dealer another service representative named Lisa told me that my car is actually done and apologized on behalf her colleague that he forgot to call me the day before. I was totally fine with that as I was driving my wife's car for the work and it was on the weekend anyways; however, I paid my bill and when I went to pick up my car I seen that my airbag light is still on ( a part of a recall job) and a new sun wiser has not been installed I went right back to Lisa and explained her and she very politely convinced me that she would take care of it all and, she called me in the afternoon of Saturday and told me that they had a problem on their system so they could not erased the error code from the system and they would do on Monday with Hyundai Canada’s help, which they called me on Monday morning that my car was ready to pick up and I told them that I would pick it up after hours and they left the key at the sales department and when I went there to pick my car my this time the airbag light was fixed but not my sun wiser so, I went back inside again and asked to talk a manager and explained him my problem firmly with a bit hot tempered voice tone and told him that I was so upset of coming here twice and not gable get my car fixed and he told me that he would fix this himself (apparently he was the owner of the dealers) next morning service department manager called me and apologized and said that it was and communication problem and $69 is not the price of the sun wiser but it was the installation fee that’s why they did not fix or install it "as if I could know about it" and original price is $200+ and if I accept the price they would install it for free and he thinks that that would compensate my time and unsatisfied customer experience with them. And I said; okay Steve forget about the sun wiser, could you please help me to do e-test and safety for this car and he right a way comes with; ohh sir you know the ministry put some new rules and our safety price is now $180+HST and if there is anything come out like rust and stuff we have to charge you the service fee, he sounded like he wanted to get rid of me and not doing anything with me anymore; instead saying you know what I will put this sun wiser at the price of $69+HST that we promised to given you and will try my best to do your safety and e-test on time and will try to give your car to you today!! And these people thinks that they are a sale person or giving the good customer service; you know what these know nothing about customer service or sales. All these people know about how to give horrible service and get our money and they know that customer has to accept their horrible service as we don't really have much option but let me tell you something this is really make me feel disgusted and we Canadian deserve better as all American could get way better service in this kind of situation as their market is bigger.
