Went home to wait. 3 1/2 hours later received called saying going to be hour more. Waiting to do wheel alignment. Got called after another hour and half. Car finally ready. 5 hours for tire install that were on rims already Went out to car and noticed hubcaps not on. Went back in and was told I would have to bring it back to get them installed as it was closing time. Tech didn’t know if I had wanted them on- a quick phone call while in would have answered that Made appt to bring back to get hubcaps on as they go under lugnuts. When I got there was told will be done quickly. Waited at dealership. After an hour started talking with other wAiting customers. Another had been told 2 hours for her service it was now. 5. Every chair was full with a disgruntled service customer. We all bonded over our disgust with the service dept. we practically cheered for each other when they finally said your vehicle was ready. Mine took 2 hours So for 4 tire installed and a wheel alignment it took over 6 hours. Unexceptable! Side note was told summer tires couldn’t be kept because of the wear on them. Couldn’t store until spring. Took rims with me. Bought summer tires elsewhere. Only took that dealership 1 hour to install new tires that had to be put on rims. And they put hubcaps on. Lost sale to Gary Moe. And possibly a car sale in future. More

At that time I didn't know I had 30 days to return the vehicle. I have since gotten another vehicle that suits by budget and needs. Gary Moe will call me every week or two to ask about upgrading my Santa Fe which I don't have anymore. I have asked them to stop and even called the dealership to be taken off their call list. They still continue to call even when no matter what I say to them. I would never recommend anyone to their dealership. J and JB auto which is right across the street were honest with me and helped me with everything I needed. More

Service dept? My gf went in with her car. Its for the typical piston slap recall that they blame on oil changes lol. Car was starting fine, no problems with the bat My gf went in with her car. Its for the typical piston slap recall that they blame on oil changes lol. Car was starting fine, no problems with the battery previously and it passed a check 1 week before we took it in. Once the car was done being inspected and "approved" fpr the recall they called us to come pick it up. Proceeded to sign paperwork and got the keys. Went to go amd it wouldnt turn over, battery was dead. They reluctantly gave her a boost after trying to sell her on a battery test like grease xxxxx. Its started fine. The service manager claimed it wouldnt start after we dropped it off and needed to be boosted. Liar. We talked to the washbay attendant who honestly said they boosted it after the mechanics had it. They had updated the ECM with the key set to ON whilst draining the battery. Its a suprise they were able to update it successfully. I talked to the mechanic and he reluctantly confirmed it. So here they are, killing batteries while doing ECM updates, and blaming the customer. Wow. And trying to sell her on inspections. Their tune changed once they werent talking to lady. They expect honesty in providing them with oil change receipts to garuntee the recall engine replacement but cant even tell the truth themselves. More
Horrible Management Experience On February 22nd, around 6:00 PM, I went to the Gary Moe Hyundai dealership located in Red Deer, Alberta, after spending time online earlier that day On February 22nd, around 6:00 PM, I went to the Gary Moe Hyundai dealership located in Red Deer, Alberta, after spending time online earlier that day looking at various vehicles, both from Hyundai and other dealers. After doing the Build & Price on Hyundai Canada’s site for the 2018 Elantra GL SE, I felt like this vehicle was suited for my needs and at the right price. After taking this vehicle for a test drive, I was interested in pursuing the leasing option as I’m currently leasing a 2015 Ford Escape. Eventually, the dealership was able to meet my budget to make this lease work, however, my earlier positive experience deteriorated quickly after dealing with the Sales Manager, Dan Duggal. After getting the numbers figured out, all I wanted to do was take a few days to think about things and wrap my mind around it. I wanted to have my dad come down from Wetaskiwin, Alberta on the weekend and drive the vehicle with him and talk things over with him and then I would've been good to proceed with the leasing option, but I couldn't even have that time. I also asked twice to get a simple copy of the numbers to take home because it was late (after hours) and I was tired, and I also couldn't even get something as ridiculously simple as that. Instead, Dan told me that this deal was for the night only and wouldn't be valid the following day unless I put down $500 right then and there and then I could have until noon of the following day to make a decision. That absolutely blows my mind. After dealing with Dan, on a scale of 1-10 for how angry and upset I was, I was at 20. I was literally in tears when I got home because of how mad I was. I'm extremely disappointed with Dan's forceful expectation. For the amount of time that I spent there, to have him basically force me to sign right then and there, is unacceptable and isn’t a good behavior or mentality to have in order to conduct business and to attract customers. Because of this extreme, forceful practice, this experience turned out to be my absolute worst experience at any dealership I've ever had, by far, and they won't be gaining a new customer. On a side note, if you look at their Google reviews, you can see that Josh Duggal left a review. He’s the General Sales Manager at Gary Moe Hyundai. The fact that they have their own staff leaving outstanding reviews for themselves should say something about the way the dealership is run. Pretty pathetic. More

Second time repair on recall I noticed her valve cover gasket was leaking again onto the alternator we had it repaired on the recall last year they pinch the gasket then and sai I noticed her valve cover gasket was leaking again onto the alternator we had it repaired on the recall last year they pinch the gasket then and said they fixed. So Hyundai said they would repair it so we dropped it off Monday and they said they would have it done Tuesday morning .The vehicle ran fine when we dropped it off ,they did not get it done on Tuesday they said they ran into problems. Service told us that it would be done Wednesday morning so they come out and pick my wife up and she made it to blocks away and it was running roughsh and sputtering. So my wife turned around and went back they took it in and looked at it and said it was running rough and that's the way it come and it was ready to go. Get back to Sylvan And it's it's spitting and sputtering and check engine light flashing they will be getting a nasty call in morning they are a bunch of liars and crooked. More
Buyer beware xxxxty gm and sales manager After learning I was pregnant I went in to trade in my fully loaded with extras car for an suv.. I ended up getting a basic model.. I bought in spring After learning I was pregnant I went in to trade in my fully loaded with extras car for an suv.. I ended up getting a basic model.. I bought in spring. While I was buying I made sure everything was in place I asked about block heaters and a bunch of other things.. fast forward to my first oil change when you come on they walk around your car looking for every ding and scratch.. there was nothing wrong with the car after the oil change I left went straight home and realized there were big scratchs on my passenger door. I went back in and asked about it and they said I wasn't them even though the report showed no damage they blamed me and were not willing to do anything so I started going to a different dealer. Fast forward some months and it's winter now I have a new born and don't live in town we got down to -45 And I go to look for my black heater.. I can't find it I call them and ask and they transferred me to a different dealer.. I make arrangements to go in so they can pull the cord out for me to realize there is NO block heater in my car! The dealer they sent me too called them and they said I bought the car a year ago and they arnt doing xxxx.. so I go in personally to talk to the gm about this problem he told me non of his cars on the lot have block heaters and you have yo work it into the deal... hmm Alberta-45 And no block heater.. even though when I was with the sales guy and talked about it the gm told me it's my fault that it's not there and he cant do anything about it saying o should have knew when I bought it.. I told him seeing how it was spring I didn't have a need for it and asked what we can work out as I would NEVER buy a car with no block heater I left with nothing and no solutions it took him a day to call me back and offer "his cost" on a new block heater.. in the mean time I did my home work and found way cheaper ones $90 or more less then what he wanted to charge me I asked if it was a factory block heater and he said no it's after market to keep the cost down he wants to charge me a couple HUNDRED dollars for an aftermarket block heater and also didn't do anything about the scratches on my brand new car I would never recommend anyone to go here what a rip off and they don't care about the people they serve he then went on to ask if I wanted to trade in my car.. are you stupid your not owning up to your mistakes of scratching my car nor do you want to help me with the block heater why would I want to give you any business!!! Thanks for trying to pull the wool over my eyes what a jerk!!! So to sum it up no block heater and put scratches on my new car.. if you buy from them keep in mind no cars come with block heaters More

Obviously the Journeyman Technician did not evaluate this unit at all. A separate independent body examined this vehicle and cannot believe how misinformed this dealership handles its customers. Have now reported my experience with the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council AMVIC to see what can be done. Dealership does not back up their vehicle or sales! I will keep customers of Gary Moe Group updated to see what if anything will result. More
