The worst car buying experience I've had I've purchased about 8 new cars in my lifetime. This was the worst of all those experiences. I dealt with Ray over the phone, as I was 2.5+ hours I've purchased about 8 new cars in my lifetime. This was the worst of all those experiences. I dealt with Ray over the phone, as I was 2.5+ hours away from the dealership and simply searched Dodge's online inventory for a new Challenger SRT. Galt had the car I wanted so I dealt with them directly. I negotiated a deal over the phone over a few days, and arranged to pick the car up on a Monday. This was all relatively smooth. I picked the car up and signed the papers with Fehim, who was a solid finance guy and I have no complaints about him. After signing the papers, this is where things start to fall apart. Before leaving the dealership I naturally inspected the car to ensure everything was perfect, it wasn't - not even close. First of all, I was told over the phone the car had 30 kilometers on it and had not been driven, as I typically do not lease or buy anything that has been excessively test driven, this was an important point to me, which is why I asked over the phone. I was lied to in this regard, as the car had 251km on it when I picked it up. Even my lease papers ended up reading "250" - however I was told this was to afford me some "extra kms" to get home, fat lot of good that did as I was actually shorted a kilometer. I also noticed the in-dash SRT display read the top speed recorded as 297km/h. I imagine someone had a really spirited test drive. Upon inspection of the paint work I found several (more than 10) scratches in various points on the car, and a bunch that were on the rear bumper that were actually through the clear coat. I suspect they were from a dealer plate bag rubbing against the bumper near the trunk during its 250+km of test drives or lot transfers. I pointed this out to Ray and he brought someone out from their shop/detail department who seemed very irritated about being bothered with this. The car was taken into the detail department for about a half hour. I was then informed that the scratches in the rear bumper could not be taken out, and that I would have to bring the car back, have the bumper removed and repainted. Obviously this wasn't going to happen as A) I don't want the bumper pulled off my new car and repainted and B) I live 2.5 hours away from the dealership. I discussed this with Ray and asked if we could work out some kind of monetary adjustment for this, he disappeared for about 20 minutes and returned telling me that I would be contacted by the general manager the next day and assured me something would be worked out. I was reluctant to accept not having this resolved on site, but I was told there were no managers around at the time. At this point I just wanted to go home, so I agreed. I got in the car only to find that there was less than a quarter tank of gas... So I paid this $499 admin fee for what, then? I protested this and Ray disappeared for another 15 minutes. He came back and said he would fill the car, I gave him a ride to the station and we filled the car, and then I headed home. Fast forward several weeks, I have followed up with Ray several times indicating that I had not heard from any of his managers, and as of the time of this review I still haven't. I spent over 8 hours personally detailing the car getting various scratches out and removing a metric ton of hardened polish on the car that was left on from their detailing department. The scratches on the rear bumper obviously can't be removed, but I'll live with that. The detail job they did on this car was the worst I've seen to date on any new car. I strongly advise that you steer clear of Galt Chrysler, there are so many Dodge options in southwestern ontario that it shouldn't be very hard. More

The air conditioning did not work before we purchased it and they signed an agreement that they would fix it before we purchased the truck. After 4 hours of terrible service and lost papers, we purchased the truck, owned it for 2 weeks and then it would not start in our driveway. We booked an appointment for 9am to have it looked at and waited the entire day (until 4;30pm) for their terrible service. They covered the electrical work it needed but then on the drive home the air conditioning stopped working. They are now telling us they will not cover the costs to fix the air conditioning (even though they had told us they would and clearly knew it wasn't just a matter of topping it up) and the truck has now been recalled for a faulty air bag. We cannot win with this truck and Galt Chrysler has been extremely difficult to work with and has God awful service. More

Purchase of a new Ram truck Galt Chrysler & Dodge has been one of the best experinces on buying a new truck, I have purchased many vehicles in my time but this experiences was a Galt Chrysler & Dodge has been one of the best experinces on buying a new truck, I have purchased many vehicles in my time but this experiences was a no pressure approach, from the time I enter the showroom to the time I drove the new truck out of the parking lot. Always great service all around Both the wife and I bought our vehicles through Galt Chrysler. Wife got a 2013 Jeep Wrangler and I got a 2013 Dodge Ram R/T. After having my Ram for Both the wife and I bought our vehicles through Galt Chrysler. Wife got a 2013 Jeep Wrangler and I got a 2013 Dodge Ram R/T. After having my Ram for only a few months, someone rear ended me. I brought it in and they were very prompt on repairs. Had a caliper seize on my brakes and they fixed in no charge. The manager had to drive to Stoney Creek to get the caliper and Galt Chrysler had it fixed the same day. Liza in the service department is always pleasant and so helpful. More
