My second vehicle I was charged 3 payments on my old loan after not 1... not 2... but 3 different people told me “oh it’ll only happen one time” then “the loan is closed now so no other payment will go through” just to have another payment go through. I've been waiting five months to have my vehicle serviced finally my engine was fixed after five long months of going back-and-forth. They've had my vehicle for a month in the middle of winter with a leaky roof and still have not fixed it so I picked it up and the interior is covered in mold!!!! More
Terrible decline in service, honesty and integrity I have been a loyal customer to this dealership for many years. We have spent thousands of dollars in service repairs, but no more. Look at the 2017 r I have been a loyal customer to this dealership for many years. We have spent thousands of dollars in service repairs, but no more. Look at the 2017 reviews for this dealership, they are terrible, with good reason. BUYERS BEWARE June 3, 2016- I had my 2007 Dodge Ram 3500, truck front end inspected by Darcy at Budget Brake and Muffler. Darcy has been in business for over 30 years and I have had several vehicles serviced there. He is an experienced mechanic and trustworthy. He told me that my upper/lower ball joints were worn and needed replacement. He gave me an estimate of $1000. I decided to get a second opinion at Destination Chrysler in N Vancouver and made a service appointment with Kevin Bland in service for June 7 2016. Kevin called me and stated that the ball joints were worn and should be replaced. His estimate was higher than Darcy’s, but he pointed out that Mopar Parts and Service have a N America guarantee for 2 years. There were NO MEASUREMNETS of the existing ball joints at this time. No measurements of the ball joints were taken or noted on the report. I decided to go with Destination Chrysler where they have serviced my truck in the past and also for peace of mind, while travelling through the US with our trailer. I paid $1809.69 for the ball joints and a high pressure power steering hose. November 28th 2017- I had my truck tires rotated and balanced at Costco. The service technician told me that my front tires had improper wear on the outside edge which he believed to be caused by bad ball joints. He told me that there was significant play on the ball joints and that they should be inspected. January 4th 2018- I had my truck front end inspected by Darcy at Budget Brake and Muffler. He told me that my upper/lower ball joints were worn out and needed replacement. He also told me that my front axle u–joints were worn and should be replaced. The steering linkage was also reported to be in need of repairs. I told him that I had the ball joints replace in June of 2016 and that I would bring the truck back to the dealer for an inspection and warranty. I called Destination Chrysler and spoke with service advisor Sarkis Yazbek about the ball joints. As soon as I mentioned that this may be a warranty issue, the tone of the conversation changed, significantly. He told me that the warranty was only for one year, in fact it is for 2 years. He went further to state that there is a tolerance in play and they would check. He was not able to tell me what tolerance measurements were acceptable. Believing that this dealership was going to not honor the warranty nor the condition of the ball joints, I sought a 3rd opinion from Ensign Chrysler Dodge in Vancouver. January 5th 2018- I had my truck front end inspected, without mention of warranty at Ensign. I paid $56 for the inspection and the service technician noted “Recommend ball joint replacement, Right and left axle u-joint replacement, and lower steering shaft universal joint replacement.” No measurements of the ball joints were taken or noted on the report. January 11th 2018- Brought my truck in for service to Destination Chrysler in North Vancouver and spoke with service advisor, Gerald Semotiuk. Explained that I was informed by 3 mechanical technicians that my ball joints needed replacement, including a certified Dodge truck technician. I showed proof of the Dodge Ensign inspection and my original service receipt from 2016. I was told that it may take a couple of days to repair the truck and source parts if necessary. At 1130 I called the dealership to ask for an update on my truck. Left a message for Gerald to call me. I called again at 430 pm and asked to speak with Gerald. I was then informed that my truck ball joints were not worn and no warranty would be extended. There was no discussion or request at any to examine the rear drive shaft of the truck. January 12th 2018- Came to Destination Chrysler to check on status. Gerald showed me an invoice for $493.51 which included $204 to remove the rear drive shaft. I never requested nor authorized this. The truck was there for front end work and inspection. I spoke with service manager Glenn Smits about the excessive charges and he agreed that the rear axle removal was a mistake and removed the charge. Asked why they would not warranty the work when another Dodge dealer recommended the work be performed. He said the ball joints were at acceptable tolerances, none of which are posted anywhere in service nor warranty reports. The invoice was reduced to $246 and I asked why there was a $200 difference at Destination Chrysler for a front inspection which normally takes less than ½ hour. He was not able to justify the difference between dealerships. I paid, in protest, the invoice fee. I made an appointment to speak with the general manger Adam Sinclair at 1pm. He had been apprised of my situation before our meeting. He re-iterated the dealership warranty policy of Destination Chrysler and suggested that Ensign Dodge were an inexperienced new dealership. He offered to have another senior mechanic inspect the truck, I was reluctant because I felt that there was the possibility of collusion and a rubber stamping of their initial findings. I agreed and the new tech found the readings to be even less than their first technician. Mr Sinclair assured me that it was standard procedure to measure the ball joints before recommending any work. I showed him my original work order and receipt from 2016 and asked him to show me where the measurement readings were. He could not, because they were never taken. I asked him why his dealership removed my rear axle when there was no request nor authorization to do so. He did not know why. I told him that I would be seeking another opinion and would follow up with further action in necessary. I am seeking a reimbursement for $246.76 overbilling of unnecessary work which is not consistent with other Dodge dealers. Automakers traditionally have limited parts markup that dealers can charge on warranty work to 40 percent. That's significantly less than typical dealership markups on customer-paid repairs, which range from about 60 to 80 percent, dealer advocates say. If I had not mentioned the potential for a warranty claim on January 4th, I believe that Destination Chrysler would have recommended the replacement of the ball joints. The manufacturer will not pay retail labour/parts rates and will only pay for a specific charge time for warranty repairs, regardless of what the real time repair is. Simply put, there was little or no money to be made under warranty. January 23, 2018- The warranty work was fully completed by another Dodge dealer. JAN. 25, 2018 - ADAM SINCLAIR, GM OF THIS DEALERSHIP CREDITED MY CARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $302, FOR THE INSPECTION OF MY TRUCK, AFTER I HAD SUBMITTED PROOF THAT THE WARRANTY WORK WAS COMPLETED BY ENSIGN DODGE. Destination Chrysler Dodge chose neglect and greed over customer loyalty. BUYERS BEWARE. More

Worst Service Advisor/Asst Manager First and last visit, very disappointed. I've heard similar bad experiences from neighbors, however since we live on the North Shore I would give the First and last visit, very disappointed. I've heard similar bad experiences from neighbors, however since we live on the North Shore I would give them a try. I've been having issues with the CEL coming on and off on my 2013 Ram with only 70k. Made the 9am appointment on the phone 3 weeks ago. Showed up on time and right away you have the sense that the front service staff are just there to take your keys. No good mornings, how was your holidays. Anyways, I explained to the Service Advisor that the CEL is now off again. Never asked how long ago it did it go off, how often or any pre-diagnose questions to help his Tech. He's only concern was for me to fill out the new customer info. I informed him that I needed the truck back for a 1pm appointment and he said it will be ready at noon. They provided a shuttle ride home which was very convenient and the driver Doug was very friendly. 3.5hours later, no call. I called and the Service receptionist said they haven't started working on it yet. I told her that this doesn't work and they need to pick up me up so I can make my 1pm appointment. She put me on hold for 5min and the SA that serve me this morning came on and told me that they'll be starting on the truck in 15min. I asked him why didn't he tell me that this morning so I could have made some arrangements or bring the truck back at noon instead. He's giving some excuse that the appointment made is with the front staff and not the Technician time schedule ????? He promised that it will be ready shortly and I asked him again to keep me updated. I didn't have any confident on this SA and cancelled my 1pm appoint. 1.30 now and still no call. I called and another SA informed me that they are still working on it. 1/2 hr. later my SA called and said it's ready, however they didn't fix anything. They found a historical code that might be causing but they are not sure. They want me to bring it back if the CEL comes back on again. And they were charging me for the diagnose. I asked him why they didn't fix the issue since it's under warranty and wasted 5hours of my day with no update. No answer, apologies and forwarded me to the shuttle driver's number for pick up. Long story short, this SA who apparently is also the Assistant Manager needs to review his "customer service" manual, he showed no concern or respect for the customer time and needs. He never showed any empathy or apologized at any time that why it took 5 hours to diagnose a CEL and still not have a fix. I would fully understand if he told me that they might be a delay due to carry-over work from the holiday break, or they are short staff. Nothing, however he wasn't short on making excuses and blaming someone else including the customer. More
Miserable service. Wish i could do minus stars. Never again. If you are unsure, just type in Destination and it seems to be a company-wide problem. We change our tyres o Wish i could do minus stars. Never again. If you are unsure, just type in Destination and it seems to be a company-wide problem. We change our tyres over seasonally and it never takes more then an hour or two at Costco or Fountain etc. But this time we decided to take our new Jeep to the dealership to for our winter tires - huge mistake. It was a 7 hour miserable ordeal for something so simple. Rude staff that have no concept of customer service. 5 hours of walking around the local store waiting for the tire change, 2 more hours waiting for their pickup that never came and I ended up walking back to the dealership in the drizzling dark to service staff that had abandoned me to go home and face a bill hundreds of dollars more then was quoted! Even though they couldn't explain the overcharge, the sales staff threatened they would hold my car ransom unless I paid the full amount - a random number they felt like charging me. Pitiful. Truly. Even if they offer you a deal, trust me it's not worth the pain and suffering - at the end of the 7hrs, they literally brought me to tears... Go elsewhere. More
