I don't write any bad review usually, even when I encounter bad services but this Alejandro Palacios took "bad" to a new level.. What a disgrace to the whole industry... The short story: I setup an appointment to test drive the Tiguan... I arrived... he seemed to now want me to test drive for some reason... They didn't have the base model I wanted but a higher trim which drive the same, so I still wanted to drive it... I was chatting with my friend about the comparable SUVs we drove to decide on which one to buy, Alejandro said to us in the middle of our conversation, "Are you wasting my time or want to buy?" because he interpreted my conversation with my friend (which was not in English) as that my friend was trying to take me somewhere else!! Then Alejandro literally said "Get the xxxx out of here" to me, a customer!!!!! I refused to let this go, let my anger come out and put him in his place... Here is the long story.. I called in and setup an appointment for test driving Tiguan 2022 which was at the top my list. I test drove a couple vehicles comparable to a Tiguan at other dealerships, the usual suspects like RAV4, Hyundai Tuscon and Subaru Crosstrek. The receptionist was nice just like you would expect. We asked for the, well, rather non-customer service nor sales worthy dude named Alejandro Palacios for the appointment we setup with, it took him several minutes to come see us even though he had no one he was serving, it was fine since he might have had stuff he was doing, he arrived and we asked for a test drive of the Tiguan. He seemed hesitant for some odd reason, he literally said "Let me ask XYZ if that was possible", we let that go, we let him go "ask"!! He came back and literally asked, "Are you planning to buy today" to which I said yes I am looking for the base Trendline model. He said "The Trendline trim will take until April to arrive if you order today"!!! First of all, asking if I was planning to buy TODAY is bad in itself, then saying that it would take until April to come in a tone that goes like this "It will take until April so I am not letting you test drive the Comfortline demo I have, get out of here".. that's how it sounded I mean, I bought few different cars in my life from dealerships, and this was already the worst experience I have gone through. In my mind I wanted to leave since the whole experience was very crappy at that point, but wanted to give him a chance. He now says let me bring it in to the service bay where you can look at it!! wanted to test drive it not not look at it man. Anyways I let that go as well since I really wanted to decide on the car, he brought it in the service bay (we could have looked at it outside) after like 10 minutes of waiting, bear in mind that vehicle was only a few steps away outside the bay! Now we looked at it and I genuinely liked it, we went back to his desk and said we wanted to test drive it please. The guy seemed shocked that we still wanted to, for some reason. The butter of story now comes..: I had my friend who worked for years at a luxury car dealership brand with me, we were speaking in a different language while Alejandro Palacios scanned my Driver Licence and signed the test drive paper. We were literally talking about how the Tiguan is spacious while RAV4 has reliability going for it, while we ruled out the Tuscon said the Subaru is still worth considering. My friend said that if the used market wasn't so hot and cars are expensive, we could have bought a high trim used Tiguan for cheaper from a friend who owns a modest used car lot. Now the funny part, Alejandro literally said "Are you planning on buying or wasting my time?" imagine the shock on our faces! We calmly said, "Why did you say that man!" he replied, "your friend is trying to take you to another place" !!! Alejandro didn't speak our language so he just heard the brands names we were talking, my friend just said let's leave man this guy but I refused, I needed to confront him and put him in his place. I said, "Are you stupid man". Alejandro Right away stood up and said "Get the xxxx out of here"!!!!! the rest was me getting angry, then had a chat with his manager. That was that.. More
