Bought a new Taos '23. After the 3rd service (46000km) , I was told my rear brakes are toast and I would need my pads and rotors switched to new ones. The quote was 829 bucks. I have driven / bought many cars / many new cars throughout my life. This is/was the very first time breakpads are finished (conveniently) after the EXTENDED warranty coverage of 40.000 km. Most disappointing. Be aware, and ask for better breakpads (rear, for the front was fine) before you buy a new VW from Mexico.

Our today’s encounter with the dealer, Mr. Lishun Yue at Fifth Ave VW was odd. We were introduced to this dealership at NE by a friend although it is far from where we live. We had the appointment with Mr. Yue at 4:15 pm. In order to be there on time, we left home at 3:20 pm and we arrived 10 min prior to the appointment. We saw Yue was rushing and we said hello to him. Since then he never showed up and we had no idea where he was. We waited until 4:40 pm and decided not sitting there more and wasting our time. We sent him a message telling we were leaving. He responded with “That is alright. I am running late”. After that we had never heard anything from him. We were not impressed. The way of service from this dealer was rude and arrogant. We do not recommend this dealer.

I got a new id4 from these guys this past weekend and my car purchase experience was nothing less than exemplary. Lishun was the one who helped both myself and my dad (who also ended up getting a car) every step of the way from opening the door for us when we arrived at the dealership after talking digitally, to sitting with us on the test drives to answer any questions we had about the car, to his incredible patience and action getting us an honest to god incredible deal. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I could. I love my car and anytime in the future I or anyone I know needs a new car I won’t hesitate even for a moment to recommend this place and Lishun.

This dealership is Friendly, fast and super accommodating. Very sharp staff, they pay attention to detail and genuinely care about giving us the best service possible. We will continue to buy and have our vehicles serviced at the fifth ave location for many years to come.

As a first-time car buyer in Canada, I was left with a positive and happy experience with the team from Fifth Avenue Volkswagen. It is understandable that people can have varying experiences with dealerships across Calgary. I was hesitant to go down to one and had been researching the options available in the city. I was very pleased to see the listing of the used 2016 VW Tiguan on their website. Setting up a meeting time with Nic Gerves (Sales Consultant) was easy. More satisfying was the fact that the vehicle looked exactly as it did on the website. The test drive went well. Nic was amazing at listening to my concerns, answering my questions and asking me questions to ensure that I am making the correct decision for my purposes. He was very knowledgeable about the car and understanding of the fact that I am a "born again" new driver. Mac Merhi in the Finance office was also great and very professional. He took the time to explain all the necessary details and answer my questions and did a great job in handling my financing application with the bank. The delivery time was easy to set and everything went off smoothly within reasonable time. When it came to handover, Derek also continued the great service by also taking the time to explain all the car features plus answering my questions and helped with taking some photos of me next to the car for my parents. All in all, based on this positive experience, I look forward to returning to Fifth Ave. VW for my car servicing. I hope that Fifth Ave. folks will be excited to see my smiling face again ! Nik H.
