We ended up buying a very gently used 2016 Jeep Cherokee Sport, and we are very happy with the purchase. The atmosphere at the dealership is positive and staff all very friendly. HOW DEALS SHOULD BE DONE!! - TRANSPARENT/EASY!! Knowing the owner of another Chrysler/Dodge dealership, we were told that as a favour we would be treated like family. We were told there would be co Knowing the owner of another Chrysler/Dodge dealership, we were told that as a favour we would be treated like family. We were told there would be complete transparency as we understand that a Dealership is a business and there is some money that needs to be made in order to stay open but would not bleed us (the customer) for "as much as they could get". We drove over an hour from our home town to meet with a seasoned salesman that we had spoke to on the phone. Thinking the deal should only take 20-30 minutes at the most to complete....at the hour mark, we were still more $$$ than my local dealership (Elgin Chrysler) had the vehicle advertised online. Feeling disgruntled, as this was not the type of discussion I had understood was going to take place, I left my wife to continue talks and went to call Elgin Chrysler. Connecting with Jeff Lauzon at Elgin Chrysler, I explained my whole scenario. Within 3 minutes he had convinced me to head back to my hometown and go in and meet with him. Staying open on a Saturday, well after 5pm as we drove back, Jeff did not disappoint. Within 5 minutes of sitting down we had agreed on a 2017 Grand Caravan - LOADED with more options that the previous dealer at an amazing price we could not refuse. The transparency of dealing with Jeff Lauzon was amazing. There was an agreed mutual benefit for both us and the Dealership. THIS IS THE WAY BUSINESS IS SUPPOSED TO WORK!! I don't believe we spent more than 40 minutes inside the Elgin Chrysler from making the deal with Jeff, to going over the warranties and such to signing the papers and picking up the van ...... IN TOTAL!! .........Although we wanted to! As a side, the environment at Elgin Chrysler is so laid back, you just feel at ease, which I now know is required when making such a large purchase. I don't think we would've been able to afford/buy the vehicle we had our heart set on with Elgin Chrysler. They made it happen!! and............IT WAS JUST SO EASY!! The deal was so easy, my father was then inclined to go back the next day and ended up buying a brand new Dodge Ram from Elgin Chrysler as well. BOTTOMLINE............ GO TO ELGIN CHRYSLER!! THEY UNDERSTAND YOU, THEY AREN'T PRESSURE SALES FOLKS, THEY'LL WORK FOR YOU TO MAKE SURE YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT AND CAN AFFORD!! and again..............IT'S JUST SO EASY TO DEAL WITH THEM!! More
