I was not expecting to come away satisfied howev We had a face to face meeting last night with General Manager Vineet Midha and Salesman Alex Yeung. I was not expecting to come away satisfied however during meeting it was established that Alex mislead us (I am being nice here) while selling us a car and after that Vineet worked personally with us to get a different new car. After giving us a loner we pick up our new car Monday. I want to thank you Vineet for giving my wife and I a renewed appreciation for East Court Ford and we will definitely be buying our future new car with them. Also I was able to personally apologize to Jose Giraldo (Sales Specialist) who we bought a new car through in 2011 and wasn't there the night we bought the new car for not coming to him as he was so helpful the first time around. Man, this guy is super sexy when it come to sales. I went to East Court Ford to get my old ford repaired, instead came out with a new contract to lease the car and convinced that my old car need to go to the scrap yard. The old boys sales tactics were not used here by Alex and it was the coolest deal I ever got, considering the fact that I am a business teacher teaching purchase negotiations, sales contracts etc. Alex is friendly, casual and really tried to understand what my needs were and put a package together which I could not resist. Three strikes and they're out I purchased a used car at East-Court and like other posts I also had friendly and helpful sales staff. When you think about it, would anyone buy a veh I purchased a used car at East-Court and like other posts I also had friendly and helpful sales staff. When you think about it, would anyone buy a vehicle if the sales person was rude and then write about it? Anyway, it’s too bad that the service dep’t turned out to be a big joke. Shortly after my purchase, I stopped by at another dealer closer to home to get an extra key programmed. That’s when I learned how good East-Court’s service department is. The dealer tells me the door key mechanism doesn’t work and needs repair. Dealer says that the car should have failed the Safety Certification because of that defect. What!! But East-Court had done the Safety inspection and certification. Must be an honest mistake that the door lock failed coincidently after I drove off the lot. Then came more. The second dealer did some checks and reported that I had torn wiper blades, a broken seat mechanism and a spare tire with no air. What!! My car had a Pre Delivery Inspection done before taking delivery, which East-Court likes to charge $400 for. I guess the inspection just inspects and doesn’t fix. My fault for not having it spelled out in writing. Some time on I went back to East-Court to get my free oil change. They put the wrong oil in the car. Another honest mistake I guess, though even I could clearly read the oil spec on the filler cap. Maybe the service guys are just plain smarter than the engineers who wrote the spec. Then to add insult, they charged me a fee for my free oil change. What!! They said it was a mandatory government fee. So I paid but found out later that was all a big fat line. Glad I’m out of that place and will never be back, no matter how nice the reviews of sales staff are. More
