Erratic acceleration of 2019 KIA Excel 2 The acceleration of the above car, was at times, quite erratic. It would accelerate normally, and then for no apparent reason start losing engine spe The acceleration of the above car, was at times, quite erratic. It would accelerate normally, and then for no apparent reason start losing engine speed and power, going down to a virtual stall, EVEN ON HWY_417. Nothing could be done until the car was virtually stalled and then it would resume power. (The Police pulled me over for that incident.) It was quite terrifying. The dealership politely explained to me that the accelerator pedal used a "potentiometer" (volume control) which had gotten intermittent. They were very polite and understanding and, ingratitude, I completely filled up their loaner car's gas tank - which was not required. We left on good terms. More
