Hello Dainan, On behalf of the team here at Davis Chevrolet I apologize for the mishandling of your circumstances. We do have a system wherein we check for open recalls when a new Work Order is opened. We cannot explain the failure of this system but do assure you that we are already looking into it so as to not inconvenience others. With that said, I do understand you have spoken with Rick Purdy earlier today to resolve your dissatisfaction. I also apologize for the response from your Sales Consultant on your initial phone call. You should have been directed to the nearest GM dealer or put in touch with the toll free Roadside Assistance number for further instruction. I know Rick has already addressed this with the team member involved however it doesn't make your experience any easier to accept. I hope your truck will now provide you with the ownership experience you deserve. Through this hopefully your confidence in it, other GM products and us will be restored. GM's quality is winning them awards and recognition within the industry so I am confident the truck will perform as it should. That said, GM is very proactive on correcting quality concerns so in future if something else needs attention they will be in touch promptly to correct. Hello Suzanne, I am sorry you feel that we do not have your best interests at heart. I assure you that is not the case. The individual you spoke with on the phone was from our call center and she did call me to ask what I thought we should do. I explained to her that I was familiar with the previous repairs to the seat and that I was concerned that there may be something else wrong that was causing the seam on the seat to separate. There is no seat assembly available from General Motors that we can order, only individual components. I advised her that I would like to get the car booked in, even though I know it is a further inconvenience, so that we could properly assess what the "root" cause of the condition is. That way we can identify the problem and ensure that you do not have to return for the same issue. If we find nothing wrong with the seat itself then I would be looking to a sublet vendor to help us with reinforcing the affected area. This condition is not something common and will require us going above just replacing the cover and hoping that it does't happen again. To help lessen your frustration we would be happy to provide replacement transportation while we investigate a suitable solution. Sincerely, Brad James Service Manager
