Despite some time crunch issues that were unavoidable the day of the final purchase and pick up, the 2 year old used car looked as if it were basically brand new after the body work and detailing. It was an amazing value and we could not be happier with our purchase! Gaye, Corey and the entire team did a fantastic job and not only will we be referring them to friends and family but we also hope to purchase a truck from them in the near future as well! Very professional people. I'm a little leery of car dealerships, having been exposed over the years to the old, high pressure way they did business. I was interested in seeing I'm a little leery of car dealerships, having been exposed over the years to the old, high pressure way they did business. I was interested in seeing a new Mazda 6 so I ventured in to Courtenay Mazda. A very friendly guy approached me and introduced himself as Mike. We discussed cars for a bit and he then invited me in to get some information about my trade-in. He filled out a form for a complimentary $50 gas card - I was not expecting that! We discussed the Mazda 6 and he put together a very realistic trade value for my truck. We then took the car for a drive. Mike filled me in on all the features and benefits of this great car as we drove. He made time for me to drive by my house so my wife (ill at the time) could have a look. We loved the car and certainly appreciated the way Mike made us feel relaxed and comfortable. When we returned to the dealership we chatted briefly with Corey, the Manager - also a very affable guy. We talked the deal over and, as we were still shopping, did not make a commitment to buy that day. Once again, no pressure - encouragement to make a sound decision from Mike, surely, but just by way of a very respectful suggestion that we give give the Mazda 6 our thorough consideration. We left the dealership feeling like the relationship was more important to these good folks than just pushing another deal. Mike followed up a day later and we regretted to inform him that we had decided on another car. He congratulated us on our purchase and wished us all the best. He was sincere in saying that he had enjoyed meeting us and having the opportunity to show us the Mazda. What an outstanding guy! Even though we did not make a purchase, we are delighted to recommend Mike Milne and the Courtenay Mazda folks if you are considering a car purchase. And thanks for the gift card! More
