Most relaxing and straight forward place to shop for a car. I have dealt with high pressure sales from Volskwagen, cheesy sales from Hyundai, been completely ignored at the local Toyota dealership, had decent v I have dealt with high pressure sales from Volskwagen, cheesy sales from Hyundai, been completely ignored at the local Toyota dealership, had decent visits to Kia and Honda, and even some good visits to Nissan, but nothing has come close to my experiences with Courtenay Mazda. I feel my blood pressure rise the moment I step on most car lots. It raises again the moment most sales folks open their mouths. Courtenay Mazda is the exception for me. Every visit has been a relaxing and educational experience where the employees are more like car consultants that guide you through your options rather than pushing you through them. At the end of the day it feels as if you have been chatting with professional colleagues towards a common goal, buying a car. The service department has also performed excellent work at reasonable prices on my Mazda 3. I have recently moved on to a CX-5. Haggling is my least favourite part of the purchasing experience yet here it was unusually painless, although if you were into that sort of thing they'd probably indulge you! No organization is perfect but Courtenay Mazda has been attentive and quite favorably responsive to any feedback I have provided them.. Particular praise goes to Gaye Williams for the way she has handled this. Great product, great service, great people to work with towards purchasing a vehicle. A quick thanks to former Mazda team members Dylan Fuhr and Jakob Christoph (now with Remax) for their professionalism and for such a low stress car shopping experience. More

1st time Mazda purchaser We went into the dealership just to browse and look at a CX5 AWD. We were greeted by Barry who has only worked there for 3 months. He was very pleasant to work with, very knowledgable of the Mazda CX5. He knew his competition and explained the differences between 2 other manufactures. We purchased the new crossover on the spot. Barry made us feel so relaxed and no pressure tactics. If you want a fun test drive go with him. Can't wait to buy a van from Mike Although I am yet to buy a vehicle from Mike, he keeps informing me of vans when they get them in. He is very informative and helpful. Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore. I ultimately decided against the CX9 at this time, as I just couldn't get as excited about the purchase and I really just didn't want to part with my car yet. Maybe in a few more years..... More

We set up a appointment to come in by ferry and were warmly welcomed and test driving our new car almost immediately with Gaye Lee Williams who was very knowledgable and fun to talk with. Honesty and genuine concern for me in my car search process I visited Courtenay Mazda on a big day, their celebration sales event on Aug. 26th. I was interested in a couple of the used Mazda 3s but also open to other options. Zach met me at the door and proceeded to come along for the test drive process. At no point did I feel undue pressure to buy a car that day but instead I received a $50 gasoline voucher just for test driving a vehicle. Zach listened to me to help me work out what type of vehicle would suit my purposes. He suggested various other models on the lot and was willing to do the research to tell me more about them. In the end, I did not purchase a vehicle from him, but I certainly would recommend dealing with Zach at Courtenay Mazda. More
