Talk to about getting it repaired and traded with a new one. NOT a GREAT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. Its all about SALES. Did not expect for a 5 yr old car engine to break- not realiable and safe especially if you have kids. Requested to courtesy tow our vehicle to their service cenetr, got declined as well. As a customer, i dont even know where to start. Will have to continue to pay financing for a useless vehicle #hyundaibadcustomerexperince #hyundaicountryhillsbadcustomerrxperience #hyundainotreliablevehicle #hyundaibroke#hyundaiexperience More
Misleading advertising, illegal fees, lying salesman. Horrific experience with sales staff Joe Atkin and Sales Manager Logan Bullock. Please avoid these two individuals and this dealership at all costs. First off, don't expect a call-back if you ask whether a car has hail damage or not. When we arrived, we were kept waiting for half an hour. Then we were shown a car that was not the car we had inquired about because that specific car wasn't drivable due to the broken windshield and was being sold "as is". So we were shown to another car of the same model with similar extensive hail damage as the one we had come to see. We noted that it was strange that the advertisement for the car did not list "hail savings" as it did for many other vehicles. Hyundai was advertising 15k in discounts on fleet cars, they just didn't mention that these vehicles had extensive hail damage. We moved on to 2019 models instead without any hail damage and walked around the lot looking at various vehicles. Salesman Joe Atkin said that if we were not serious about buying that we shouldn't be here. We said that we were and continued to walk around and then went on a test drive. Later, when we sat down inside the dealership, Joe gave us a paper outlining the cost of the vehicle, which was advertised on their website as $25 879 plus a 2.5% markup of $2499 and $983 dollars in processing and documentation fees. The GST tax was finally added on top of the car selling price + mark-up + proc/doc fee. It was thousands of dollars more than the initial price. Immediately, we said that we would not be paying for the mark-up and processing and documentation fees because according to the regulatory governmental body, AMVIC, Alberta dealers must utilize "All-In" pricing on advertised cars, meaning the price advertised is the price you pay plus GST. Joe then tried to show us a paper to justify what the fees were for and claimed that the dealership could charge them. I took out my phone and proceeded to take a picture of the original worksheet and the"Documentation/Administration fees Reasons why they are charged" to no protest. He also said financing fees were included in the doc/proc fee. We said no we would not pay for the mark-up fees and doc/proc fees and he crossed them out. Joe tried to apply high-pressure sales tactics during negotiations which were uncomfortable. We made an offer based on the original selling price and because I had seen the same car for $24088 at Crowfoot Hyundai and showed Joe the current advertisement. Below the offer we gave him, Joe wrote the number down and drew a line below it and said if you sign this and asked us to give him a credit card to show his manager we were serious. We refused as we did not feel comfortable giving someone our credit card within the first 5 minutes of the negotiation. We went back and forth and were not getting far. Eventually, we asked to talk with his sales manager and he brought his training manager Logan Bullock. Logan was nice at the beginning, asking us what we thought of the car, how we would rate it, and what would make it better. I mentioned that we had come in for a different car originally and were not made aware of the issues even though I had called ahead of time to ask about the condition of the vehicle and was not cut off mid-sentence. Logan was not interested in my complaints and just waved off the issues I had raised by saying that what was put on the internet was not always up to date. When we tried to negotiate, I mentioned that Joe had crossed out the mark-up cost and doc/processing fee, but Logan quickly countered that just because Joe had crossed them out did not mean that Joe had removed them. We said that the additional fees were against AMVIC. Logan then interrupted me to correct the way I said AMVIC. Logan then feigned ignorance on AMVIC rules and regulations when we mentioned "All-In" pricing. They left and Joe came back with some offers. One of the offers had a lower selling price of 24k plus proc/doc fee of $983.25 and 5% tax which came to $26 232.41. Since this price included doc/proc fee, I asked if we paid cash if the fee would still be there since Joe had mentioned earlier that the doc/proc fee was also for financing. He said no, it would stay the same. He then became exasperated and showed us the "actual offer" which was the original selling price + $6.25 and GST. We said we wanted the 24k offer excluding the proc/doc fee and noted that clearly it was possible for them to remove the proc/doc fees because they weren't present on the "actual offer". Joe then claimed that Logan had made a mistake and indicated to the time stamps at the top of the pages and crossed out the final offer on the second sheet of paper and changed the number to $26 232.41. This was an incredibly exhausting and disappointing experience. We shouldn't have to negotiate from the inflated price down to the actual advertised selling price. Especially since I showed that another authorized Hyundai dealer had the same car with 8k km more for more than a 1791 CAD less than what they had advertised. There is no transparency or honesty in their staff and the dealership they represent. We did not end up buying a car from this dealer and went somewhere else the next day to a non-Hyundai dealership and bought a non-Hyundai SUV without any mark-up or proc/doc fees in the initial negotiations and a further discounted price. Please do not give Country Hills Hyundai your business. Say no to illegal fees. Do your research on the AMVIC website and do not let car dealers like Country Hills Hyundai rip you off. More

Misdiagnosed/Terrible customer service/Guess Work??? My 2018 Hyundai Kona was towed to Country Hills Hyundai at their request with a Flashing Engine light. CHH informed me that there was diesel contamina My 2018 Hyundai Kona was towed to Country Hills Hyundai at their request with a Flashing Engine light. CHH informed me that there was diesel contamination in my fuel system. I was in disbelief. I was told they were able to determine this by the smell of the fuel and oily residue on the spark plugs, I couldn't smell any Diesel by the sample they provided me. I wasn't provided any diagnostic codes at my request nor on the invoice for the flashing engine light. The gas station I filled up at does not sell Diesel. My second vehicle (not a Hyundai) was also filled at the same gas station and at my request CHH pulled a sample and informed me it was also contaminated with Diesel using the same methods (smell, color). I was provided a sample from my Kona and I took it to AGAT Laboratories where they couldn't determine there was any Diesel contaminants in my fuel. I took my 2nd vehicle to a 3rd party mechanic and they found no issues with my gas. This was brought up to the Service manager Kay Rehal and I was told he doesn't have any Diagnostic codes to provide me nor any other testing to prove it was Diesel. After my service at CHH I was told I could see future issues with my Catalytic Converter and Turbo due to this Diesel contamination and both parts were deemed void on my warranty. My engine light came back on 13 days later and I decided to take my vehicle to a certified 3rd party mechanic for a diagnosis after CHH wouldn't provide me with any diagnostic codes from the last service. I was provided with Diagnostic Code P0420 (Catalyst System Bank 1) and it led them to find a loose hose on the throttle body and my air filter was out. I explained this to Kay Rehal and he dismissed my facts. I have had all my servicing done at CHH so they definitely missed this diagnosis without any diagnostic codes. Mr. Kay Rehal is failing to take any responsibility in this matter. Parts on my warranty have been deemed void (catalytic converter, turbo) due to the "Diesel contamination" which I already proved them wrong. Plus I paid for an inaccurate service ($1200 that should have been under warranty) without any further testing other than a mechanic smelling my fuel and finding oily residue on my spark plugs which I was told is the proper method to diagnose a vehicle. The worst part is Hyundai Canada supported this method of diagnosis and both CHH and Hyundai Canada flipped back and forth between a Diesel contamination and just a contamination (even though I was told it was a Diesel contamination on my invoice and in person)??? Hyundai Canada also informed me that the sample CHH provided me cannot be used as evidence because I had it tested 2 days after my service??? Country Hills Hyundai decided to blame their customer and a gas station after an hour long service and didn't provide me with any diagnostic codes/testing, which looks like they were guessing right from the start rather then finding the underlying cause of my vehicle issues. Stay clear of this Dealership!!!! More

I believe you need to know how Hyundai Country Hills did to my 2103 Hyundai Veloster Turbo. Last April 27, 2020 I was booked for RECALL issue. Since I was there I decided to have it service since ENGINE LI to my 2103 Hyundai Veloster Turbo. Last April 27, 2020 I was booked for RECALL issue. Since I was there I decided to have it service since ENGINE LIGHT is ON. But before the said repair I know already the Code based on my OBD Scanner P0301 - Cylinder Misfire and P2261 - Turbocharger Mechanical Bypass Valve Mechanical. Lina Restrepo whose my Service Advisor approached me it needs to pay the total amount of $450.00. After that so called repair it says on my Vehicle status report "NO MISS FIRE, NO CODES RECORDED AFTER RESCANNED". I went home and drove it for 30minutes and ENGINE LIGHT appeared again. I called Lina Restrepo immediately and she asked me to bring back the next day April 28. Again I spent another day for nothing ENGINE LIGHT still ON. Their alibi this time they cannot find what's the trouble. Right there and then I told them that on my OBD Scanner still registering P0301 and P2261 which they didn't mentioned it on their first Engine Analysis. I told them I have OBD Scanner that's why I know what's goin on. Lina scheduled me again for the third time May 2 Saturday. To make long story short they didn't fix it at all. Of course I complained and I was fuming mad. By the way, on that May 2 I paid another $267.87. Can you imagine my total expenses for my Hyundai Veloster is $722.87 NOT FIX STATUS! Again for the fourth time Lina scheduled me again May 5 for another trial and error fix. Guess what! nothing happened ENGINE LIGHT still up, same code on my OBD Scanner P0301 and P2261. This time I talked to Service Manager KAY REHAL but I do NOT get a positive answer instead he is asking me another payment of $135.00. I brought home my car with no FIX of $722.87 expenses. By the way, I am FRONTLINER I work at FOOTHILLS HOSPITAL I got so much stress from my job already I do not want to fight Lina Restrepo and Kay Renal who clearly i was RIP OFF! I will file my complained to AMVIC - Alberta Motor Vehicle Council and BUSINESS BUREAU for my justice. Beware of Hyundai Country Hills Dealership! More
2020 Hyundai Tucson. DON'T OPT CUSTOM LEATHER SEATS HERE. When I was buying Hyundai Tucson 2020 Preferred with Trend Package in Dec 2020, I was particularly concerned about the leather seats not being on it. When I was buying Hyundai Tucson 2020 Preferred with Trend Package in Dec 2020, I was particularly concerned about the leather seats not being on it. So I was told that custom leather seats (Katzskin) can be done of leather of my choice but of-course with around $2300 bucks extra. I'd have got Tucson Luxury for the same $2300 bucks extra but I opted for custom leather (Tan leather on my red car) instead of upgrading to Luxury, which had factory fitted black leather seats. I was thinking Custom leather and leather fitting would be as good as factory leather, but to my shock when I picked up the car I saw that leather was loosely fitted and the side fitting was not seamless. It was a shoddy piece of work. They looked more like leather seat covers and my friends told the same. I then took the car back to them and showed them the issue. I was told that it's normally third party that does it and not themselves.. But it's nice of them that they said they will ask them (third party who fitted the leather seats) to fix it. After the car came back, I felt the leather seats looked a little better but not as I expected. After just 10 days of use after car coming back, the leather seems to be getting loose again. I was told that I can't expect it to be same as factory leather BUT my concern is I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD IN THE FIRST PLACE THAT CUSTOM LEATHER WON'T BE THE SAME AS THE FACTOR LEATHER (LEATHER QUALITY AND FITTING) OR ACCEPT THAT YOUR THIRD PARTY LEATHER DEALER HAS DONE A SHODDY JOB, atleast I would have taken TUCSON LUXURY if I were told so. I feel DISAPPOINTED whenever I see my car leather seats. I endorse this salesman, Tristan but feel disappointed with the leather seats. More
