I bought my first car in Canada from this place. I am really happy that I chose to buy from them. I was very happy to get the deal in finance. Jeremy was the guy who got me approved and the ROI he got me really happy that I chose to buy from them. I was very happy to get the deal in finance. I bought a car from Columbia Chrysler and Jay was my sales person. He worked at getting me the best deal and was a pleasant person to deal with I had a positive experience there and was treated with Co sales person. Dustin Copeland, the salesperson, was very good and I would recommend him. No pressure, took his time and made sure that he gave us all the information and was very professional. Tessa Moffat, the Finance Manager, too was very courteous and professional, gave us all the information and there was no pressure. I still remember when, about 16 years ago, the Finance Manager at a dealership asked me where I got the money from when I said that I did not need their financing as I had the cash to pay for the vehicle and got agitated when I refused to buy their extended warranty and other things they offered!! More
A horrible and most stressful experience at this dealership! We went to purchase Jeep Grand Cherokee 2019. On the first day we were told that our loan has been approved @ 3.99%,.Deposit of $1000 was held to hol We went to purchase Jeep Grand Cherokee 2019. On the first day we were told that our loan has been approved @ 3.99%,.Deposit of $1000 was held to hold the deal. After two days we got a call from the dealership that our vehicle has arrived. We went to dealership to sign the papers and do the formalities. When we went to meet the finance office, they tricked us into registering the vehicle on my name even before signing the bill of sale. And then, when we went to sign our loan approval, they changed the interest rate at the last moment to 5.99%,. This was certainly not the rate of interest that we had agreed upon. They blamed the Sales person for this miscommunication of interest rates and put a lot of pressure on us to take the deal at 5.99%. The Finance Office told us that we will never be approved at 3.99%. We felt betrayed and tried to back out of the deal and as we were leaving the finance office, they told us suddenly that it is approved for 3.99%! At this time we felt that there is something fishy going on about this deal, and we walked out from there. The sales person called us back to meet with the general manager next day and rectify their mistake, and if we wanted to back out of the deal, it is fine too. Next day we met with the GM and explained what happened in details. He blatantly ignored our concerns, and informed us that the miscommunication was due to bank's server. Our question remained unanswered, how in the world finance office told that we would never get 3.99 % and within less than 30 seconds that changed back to 3.99 %? The GM was very rude, and threatened us that we must take this deal otherwise they are not going to refund our deposit money. We told them that we will not be taking the deal, and we do not wanna be in business with people who are not transparent with the customer. After a couple of days, we got a phone call from the finance office stating that the finance employee who was dealing with our file did not check it properly and was terminated on account of this incident. So, our question is, GM told us that it is a bank issue while the finance office told us it is their employee's screw up. ,,,, so, which is it? Either way, why is our deposit still being held? Lastly, they performed a credit check which was not authorized by me. BE AWARE, DO NOT GET TRICKED BY COLUMBIA CHRYSLER More
