Very dissapointing experience in the end I bought my car about a year ago, they were fully aware this was my first vehicle and added about 7 000$ more to my final contract with warranties and I bought my car about a year ago, they were fully aware this was my first vehicle and added about 7 000$ more to my final contract with warranties and unnecessary packages that does not cover half of the repairs that the car needed since I bought it not that long ago. I was told by other garages that they did a poor job with oil changes and in the first year had to get my brakes and my transmission fixed due to an honesty issue on their part. The seller is an amazing guy, but the aftermath is the issue. As soon as you buy the car and the 30 day is up, they stop responding to car inquiries (not the seller, the garage). My car had a filter problem after one week, which thankfully they took care of, but I should have known it was a bad omen. I had to fix a sensor and was told another sensor would need to be fixed as well soon (obviously not on the warranty) and I had to call about 20 times before I got an answer from Alex. Very unreliable and unhelpful guy, I do not recommend going to see him for problems. It took one month (without exaggeration) to get in contact with him for the help I needed. I am now stuck with a vehicle I still owe 12 000$ on and I've only had it for a year. The car makes horrible sounds and I am afraid of it giving out on me at any point. I am extremely angry and feel that these people care only about money and not customer satisfaction. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. Unless you like to lose money...then go ahead. More

Since late summer my car has been making strange noise whenever I would make turns, Sharp or gentle. It wasn't clear at first what the problem could be but the service team didn't give up and put a lot of time and effort. My car drives amazingly well now, I would almost say better then when I first bought it 3 years ago. Alex was an amazing help, he went above and beyond with accommodating appointments, keeping a very positive and uplifting attitude with some good humor, setting up my rides to and from work with the very kind driver I think his name is Dan. Over all I definitely recommend this dealership and if you just need a good garage to get something fixed on your car. I also highly recommend to get the extended warranty when you purchase a car!! With just this repair I saved 2999$ all thanks to this warranty!!! More

My first call with Jacques, whom I never got to meet but he had such a welcoming personality made me look forward to going in just to meet the staff. However when I arrived I met with Wade, which was exactly what I needed. He showed me what I wanted and talked to me like a friend, not a pot of gold like many dealers. Never rushed never persuaded just gave me info I needed to make my choice. This was the entire time, it was respect not checking his watch or pushing for more spending. Finance, you get options but no 'convincing you' to take the extras. 3 days later I went back to pick up my Cruze! And of course Wade showed me how to use my new gadgets! (He even managed to get body shop to clear a minor detail - used car always possible you'll have a subtle scuff somewhere) Carey More

A great looking and fully loaded Civic caught my eye, and I called to set up a test drive for the next day. I showed up, but unfortunately, as it was in the middle of the showroom, it wasn't possible for me to test drive right then. I do wish that had been communicated to me, and I could have saved myself the drive across the city during rush hour. However, I went back the day after, and I ended up test driving and purchasing the Civic then. I am still enjoying its peppy drive and high-tech features 4 months later. Mario was helpful and knowledgeable, and I appreciated his straightforwardness. Richard helped make the financing aspect of the purchase easy on me, and worked on my behalf to get the best rate he could. My boyfriend was impressed with the service I received as well, and will keep Car-On in mind when it is time to replace his vehicle. More
Pocketed money I recently purchased a car from car-on. I told Simon that I would like to make a $1500 down payment on the car and a $500 down payment on the warranty I recently purchased a car from car-on. I told Simon that I would like to make a $1500 down payment on the car and a $500 down payment on the warranty so a $2000 grand total deposit. I was at home looking a my receipt and it showed I only deposited $1500. I called Simon and he adamantly said that I had only given him $1500 cash. So he pocketed the rest. I am very disappointed with the service and will not be returning there. More

Apparently "it's not their responsibility to supply all car k Dealership sends me a key that I SHOULD have received in March when I purchased the car. Apparently "it's not their responsibility to supply all car keys when you buy a car." Turns out this key, while unlocks the car and turns on electronics, will not actually start the car. They didn't communicate the possibility of this key becoming 'un-programmed' and so I'm left to think that my car's ignition system or a more serious issue is to blame, and I can't test another key as this is the only one available to me at the time. Since I've purchased the full extended warranty, I have my car towed to them only to be told that the issue is the key that they sent me in the mail.... which should have been given to me in 5 months earlier when I purchased the car. They somehow take 1.8 hours / $200 to figure this out. For a dealership that prides themselves on Customer Service, this is pretty brutal. More

I had a very unpleasant experience with Car-On Auto. I thought I should make others aware of my story so you can question your dealings with them. Firstly, I will acknowledge upfront that I hold some of the blame for this, as I should have known better, did more research and asked the very general questions that AutoTrader tells you to ask. Heavy sigh! By nature I am a very trusting person, and really thought that given Car-On Auto seemed like a reputable business with friendly staff, I was in good hands. Here is a bit of the background before getting into the purchase story. I was looking for a car for my son. I had something specific in mind, Honda, no older than 2011, less than 100000 KM and in the $12000 range to be paid cash. I did some searching and set up a test drive at a different dealer that day, but it did not pan out. I was anxious to make a purchase and already out and about, so decided to browse AutoTrader where I came across Car-On Auto. It was just up the road. Great! For reasons on anonymity, I will refer to my sales guy as Jade, and the sales exec as Dick. I walked into Car-On Auto, was met with a smile and Jade was motioned by a colleague to attend to me. Very friendly guy. Again me being trusting, told him exactly what I wanted to the detail. I figured to get that out of the way, see if they had something, and get out of there quick. Like most people, I hate shopping for cars and wanted to get it over with. Jade was great. He walked me through the lot, showed a couple of other brand models they had, explained the they had a 30 money back guarantee (neglected to mention you had to pay for it) and then brought me right to the couple of Honda's that were in my price range. And wow, there was one there that fit perfectly and the cost was very, very reasonable. (That's when I should have had my first clue). We proceeded to look at this car and the few along side. I asked a few questions. Jade mentioned to me that standard transmission cars tended to have a much lower resale price. That was good enough for me. I said, get the keys, let's try it out. The test drive went well. I quickly checked out the car looking for rust. There was none and the engine was cleaned looking immaculate. Very anxious to get this over with (too much in fact) I said lets get this done. We went through a few numbers. It looked great. Even agreed to pickup on the next day! We were good to go. As I sat there, it crossed my mind to ask for the Car Proof, but again, me being of a trusting nature, I figured these guys were professional and would tell me upfront. Mistake number 2. I was brought to the business manager, Dick. He was also a very personable guy. He wrote up the initial sales contract and printed it off (by the way, from this point always be cautious of what is on page 2). I noticed there was a huge letter blurb across one of the sections that stated "customer declined". I asked him what that was, he said we would get to it. He asked me a few questions about buying additional items (window tinting, remote start), which I declined (BTW, it is a typical negotiations tactic to set up people to agree with several things to get them on a trend of thought). He described very quickly the section that he had pre-declined for me. It was the 30 day guarantee, where he told me it would cost $400 and he knew I would not want it. (Again, warning sign I missed). Finally in a CYA style, I was made to initial everything and specifically declining the 30 day guarantee. But at this point I am on top of the world. I show up the next day, check in hand. Sit in Dick's office and wait while he prepares a few things. He must have been a bit nervous because he misplaced my file (or maybe that was a distraction). Dick reprints the contract, with a few updates. We sign it. I hand him the check. The ownership is right there with my name on it. He says just a bit more paper work. The next few steps happen in the space of only a minutes. Dick gives me an itemized sheet of all the things I have declined and has me initial each one. Now he pulls out the 2 page Car Proof report. First says there are a few small dings (on the second page) but we will get to that. That is when my head went ding..ding..ding.. First page is simple, here is where the car came from etc.. Of course I'm now more interested in the second page, so get on with it. Dick turns to the second page. He quickly says, there is no police report, then references to 3 lines with quotes over several years. He points out that there are inconsistencies in dates and such, implying that the information can't be trusted. So, I am evaluating in my head, obviously much too slowly starting to get that in comfortable feeling. Dick reassures me I have a great car and great deal. So, here I am, 95% of the deal is done, I want the car, so as uncomfortable as I feel, sign the remaining CYA and soon it is done. To note: if I had asked or been told of the damage ahead of time, I would have bought something else on the lot. Now I'm leaving the office with the keys, everything signed, and it is finally sinking in... Dude, I think I've just been snookered. To add insult to injury, the sales guy asked me to step up on a podium and ring this bell. I do it, and everyone in the room starts clapping and cheering. I'm thinking, "great, they are clapping because I'm getting screwed". Sure enough, I get home and take a closer look at the car and find there is paint overspray in several spots. In fact there are places where the painter really botched the job. So, here I am. I hate my new car, I hate that blood bell, and just feel totally violated. My advise, don't expect upfront honest information. Ask a lot of questions... More
