Long story Short----Husband and I went in, and clearly stated that we were looking for my mother, and were simply doing the leg work for her as she was sick at home this weekend. The salesmen agreed and said of course he would help us look for my mom, and then asked about her budget and if there was anything that interested her. She was interested in the Jeep Cherokee and had a budget of 250 biweekly. He nodded and said, lets head to my office and get this down for you. Of course he ended up showing us a 2020 that we already knew, was way above 250, but we entertain the idea and go out and look at the new unit. It was beautiful but of course the payments came up to a 389! NO. He then asked what my mothers budget could stretch to, and with my teeth grit, I said 252. He laughed it off and said he'd go talk to his GM. What felt like forever after, he returned and said sorry no way we can go that low. Well that’s alright, we never excepted to leave with a new vehicle with that low of payment. But he had other options, we head out and he shows us a Hyundai and Mitsubishi. Being quite new to purchasing a vehicle, I agreed to take the Hyundai, for 2 hour loan, to show my mother, who lived 45 mins away. She simply did not like the vehicle, it was to small and just not her taste. We return to his office, and I begrudgingly tell him, sorry no this isn't it, and how she mentioned to us that she found online another jeep, at another dealership and how she would like us to go check it out. He looks stunned, "but why ruin her credit since we already have her approved here! Why go for something old? Why this and that." And I kept honestly telling him," I'm doing this for my mom. I'm doing the leg work. She says no, go somewhere else, okay." But he wouldn't hear that, his voice started to raise louder and louder saying "no you don’t have to do anything bro, Your mom isn't here so you don’t have to go anywhere, she isn't forcing you! Bro I'm done talking about this. Why bro, if you want old I can find you cheap old!" By the time I was able to get any words in, his voice was echoing off the rafters! I was so embarrassed and disrespected all I was able to get out was "thank you, we are done here." Just to find out at the other dealership (which gave us a great deal, with the demanded low payments for a fully loaded 2017, with only 65000km) that capital had sent my moms info to 3 different banks, when they told us they were simply doing a "soft check"!! More
