Hi Shnita, I appreciate your feedback. We take customer service and follow up very seriously, and we track all traffic in our store very carefully. In order to help us improve we checked our written logs and showroom cameras for Friday (we also checked Thursday and Saturday). We cannot find any record of anyone looking for a Sorento in the morning. We also have had contact with everyone who looked at Sorentos during those three days. Would you be able to provide us with more information? We would really appreciate your help and would happily provide you with a $100 service credit for your inconvenience

Hello, I was in friday October 28 at or about 9 am. I spoke with Shane Leonard shortly after entering the showroom. I told him I was interested in a kia Sorrento. He took my license (Lisa Nash) and came back with keys to a dark silver EX+V6 Sorrento and a dealer plate. The car was located in the front left corner of the lot(when facing hespier road) He told me little about the car, and I was left to figure out how to adjust everything and turn on the car. Before I could leave the lot I had to wait for a picture of someone to be taken, presumably picking up there new car, before I had enough room to drive by. It was a woman picking up a Kia soul I believe. They had those big silly cut outs characters in either side of the car. I think it was Shane Leonard taking the picture. I took to car to my house in Preston to show my husband and then drove it from hwy7/8 down the 401 to hespler road and back to the dealership. Shane took down my info on one of those dealer info sheets, and priced out a sorrento ex v6 on one of the computers in the showroom. I flat out said that I was ready to buy within the week after pricing out the cars and reviewing with my husband. Shane did not look at my car that I am aware of, as I said I had my key with me, but told me they had calls out for my trade in, a 2011 Hyundai sonata. When you tell me that your cameras and records don't show anyone taking out a sorrento, I have to assume your cameras are broken and your sales man thought I was bored and looking to waste someone's time and threw out the info sheet.Do you not keep records on who takes out the cars? I assure you I was there friday morning. I did not hallucinate a kia in my driveway and neither did my husband. I also emailed Shane with a follow-up email on Oct 28th at 1449h to his Kia email. Or this is a fishing expedition to have me disclose the sales persons name..... And quiet honestly, I am not interested in getting anyone in trouble, I'm just put off because I clearly wasn't taken seriously by the people in the dealership.

I can assure you it was not a matter of you not being taken seriously. We couldn't find the records initially because we did not know the name. The notes we had from all of the interactions day were positive. Most likely the sales rep marked the number incorrectly, because both follow up notes that he logged the following days stated a voicemail was left, but the name on the voicemail was different from the name logged. There is no excuse for missing the email, and we have taken steps to make sure no incoming sales emails are missed in the future. Again, I apologize for the experience you received

So what exactly happened to my information? I suspect it was thrown out. Is that correct? How could there be no record of me coming into the dealership on the cameras? While i appreciate the attempt to compensate me for poor service, I will not be bringing in my Kia for service at your dealership. I have received no feedback as to what actually took place after my visit, so I am left with my assumptions. I assume I was not taken seriously either because I was a woman, or because I was perceived as being unable to afford the car. In either case I wouldn't be comfortable leaving my car where the reaction is to size me up and ignore me.
