This dealership was sneaky and misleading right from the very beginning. I wanted to buy a new Kia Soul. After the initial test drive I told them I would go home and speak to my husband and call the next very beginning. I wanted to buy a new Kia Soul. After the initial test drive I told them I would go home and speak to my husband and call the next day to come back in and go over the details. The saleman was really pressuring me to tell him what I was willing to pay per month and what I wanted for my trade-in. I kept telling him that I thought he should tell me what my trade-in was worth but he insisted that I tell him what I wanted for it. I told him I wanted to know the value of my trade in and he said that they couldn't tell me without making a phone call and they wouldn't do that unless I made a deposit on the vehicle. Well, I was getting ticked off so I told him he better make me an offer on my trade-in or I was going to walk. The whole time he kept going back and forth to the sales managers office saying "i can't make these kinds of decisions. don't shoot the messenger". When he saw how upset I was getting he finally offered me a price on the trade-in. I thought it was fair. I went back to the dealership with my husband that evening for a final test drive and we told him we would like to buy the vehicle, were willing to pay full sticker price, but wanted a $375 accessory thrown in. Once again, he had to go ask the manager but would not go and ask him unless I gave him my credit card. He said he needed a commitment from me that I was going to buy the vehicle. I said "I've been here 3 times in the last 24 hours, how much more commitment do you want from me? I'm not going to give you my credit card until I know the FINAL price". Well, he said the Sales Manager could not decide if he could throw in the accessory without calling the owner. We were getting the run-around so we left. As we were driving away, suddenly the sales manager chased us down and miraculously now had the authority to make the deal. We said we were unhappy with the way we had been treated. He said "If you're not comfortable here then we don't want your business!" and shooed us away! What a jerk. We went the next day to the KIA dealership in Lisowel and bought the same car, same price, EXCELLENT service. They said they frequently get customers from Cambridge because of the way there are mistreated at the dealership there. More
BAD BAD SERVICE!!!! I saw a used car Camridge Kia had for sale in autotrader.ca so I called(Wednesday) and got some information on it. I did some research that night and thought it was a decent price. I call sale in autotrader.ca so I called(Wednesday) and got some information on it. I did some research that night and thought it was a decent price. I called the next day(Thursday) and made an appointment for Saturday to look at the vehicle(still on autotrader.ca). I was quite a long distance from the dealership and told them this, but since I live in a smaller town its harder to find the vehicle you want. Friday morning plans changed and I thought I should go today instead of waiting until Saturday because I didn't want to lose the car, so I decided to take the day off work and go Friday. I called the same salesman Friday morning and told him I couldn't go Saturday but could go today to look at the car, he said that was great. I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM WHERE I WAS COMING FROM AND THAT I WAS DRIVING 3 HOURS TO GO THERE so I wanted to make sure the car was still there when I got there. I asked him if he could hold the car for me, he said no that he couldn't because no papers were sign but that there were no appointments scheduled for that day so the car should still be there. I picked my wife up at school after noon and it took us 3 and a half hours with traffic to get there. When we got there I said I was here to see the car, he went to get the keys and came back and said was that the 2010 accent, I said no it was the 2007. He left again to get the keys and came back and said the car wasn't there. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT, he went and get the sales manager and all they said was "sorry". The sales manager said he didn't take the call so it wasn't his fault...what???? and then he said the car wasn't on autotrader.ca anymore...I told him it was and it was just taken down this morning and I called this morning to make sure the car was still there. They just stared at us and just said sorry. This was their fault, THE CAR HAD SOLD DAYS AGO BEFORE I EVEN CALLED, it wasn't even on the lot. I took the time to write the owner a letter and told him what had happened and he didn't even respond to it. This was terrible service having me drive all that way(3 and a half hours) when I specifically told them I was driving over 3 hours and wanted to make sure the car was there so I wouldn't waste my time and the car wasn't even there when I placed the first call. I would be very careful dealing with this car dealership if this is the way they treat customers. More
