Fantastic experience again and Dan and the team made my wife feel very comfortable during this process. Dan's attention to detail and first class delivery of service is why I keep coming back and always will. This was my 10th vehicle from Dan and Calgary BMW. Dan's customer service and professionalism is second to none and the extra touches Dan organizes are greatly appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending Calgary BMW and in particular Dan Gulin. Thanks Ashoke More

Received my car back from Service with cracked windshield Two weeks ago I had my BMW at the dealership for regular service. When I picked up my car I drove off their property and realized minutes later that I had a crack in my windshield from top to bottom, which was not there when I had dropped off my car. So, I turned around and drove back and told them that the crack was not there before. Needless to say it wasn't their fault, because it's always the customers fault and they told me that this must have happened after I left their property. Lucky me, I have a dashboard camera. I went very frustrated home and played all the recordings. I sent then the recordings showing me driving in at BMW without a crack and another recording showing the crack when one of their employees parked the car ready for pick up. Cleary, this proofed that the crack wasn't there. I had another meeting with their Manager and they are not willing to replace my windshield on their expenses (offered to pay half of the price). They are saying the windshield was compromised before and they can not control when a tiny tiny rock chip will crack. Are you kidding me? We live in Calgary, show me one windshield without any rock chips. And it doesn't matter whether there was a rock chip or not. As a matter of fact this happened when the car was in your possession and on your property and I honestly don't care how and when it happened. The most frustrating thing was that the had me drove off their property without even telling me that they damaged my car. Most likely even better for them, because they can always blame the customer if you don't realize it before you leave the dealer. This is how BMW says "Our passion is to take car of your passion". Excellent service advisors and high quality of work We own a 2012 X1 and a 2013 X3 and I believe that it is no secret that modern BMWs are not the most reliable vehicles. Having a competent service prov We own a 2012 X1 and a 2013 X3 and I believe that it is no secret that modern BMWs are not the most reliable vehicles. Having a competent service provider is crucial for these automobiles. Calgary BMW has generally provided excellent service and advice, especially from Andrei Enica. Andrei is absolutely reliable, honest and helpful...this service advisor really goes out of his way to do the best job possible. Calgary BMW does charge a lot for general service work but usually the work is done to a very high standard. Having your car complimentary cleaned is a welcome bonus. People have to understand that these vehicles are very, very high tech and a dealership needs to invest a lot to stay on top of that technology. Performance specialist Allan Calagui is great to deal with as well. Al matched pricing from a big box store for some very high end Michelin performance tires, thank you Al. One memorably bad experience, however, was bringing in our X3 with overheating issues on a Saturday and having some young and clearly inexperienced staff think that the likely issue was low coolant level. We were sent on our way limping our ill X3 home some 20 km with an overheating engine while the whole time the waterpump had completely failed. Overall this dealership is doing a good job with parts. Tara-Mae is excellent to deal with in parts, she is super friendly, knowlegable and helpful. Also had a very good experience with service advisor Elise Parsons. Her consistent updates by text and email were much appreciated. Don't forget to ask for price breaks on parts and service if possible, in many cases this dealership can help with that. Overall, I am pleased with my experiences at Calgary BMW and am happy to have this dealership as an ally to fight the reliablity issues and relatively high maintenace requirements intrinsic with our vehicles. BMW vehicles do perform very well, however, and represent a comfortable way to get from point A to point B quickly and safely. This admirable quality of these vehicles is worth a lot of $$$. Stick with the great advisors like Andrei, Allan, Elise and Tara-Mae and you will likely have a great experience. Recommended. More
Managers gave very very low trade in value Visited them and brought my vehicle for trade in. The manager gave very very low value. Lower than the BLACK book value, lower than anyother dealer. Also they are very jealous from BMW Gallery in the NW. More
Incompetent, dishonest, frustrating I took my old 745 in for a service, as we live in Cranbrook I called and explained that I would be in in Calgary only 1 day , gave then a list of work I took my old 745 in for a service, as we live in Cranbrook I called and explained that I would be in in Calgary only 1 day , gave then a list of work to be done and asked that the Car be ready for 4 pm, when I arrived to pick up the Car they had done basically nothing, found out they never even moved my car into the shop until 2 pm and charged me over 700............ never again will try Kelowna next time More
Incompetent, dishonest, frustrating Calgary BWM will not stand behind the service work they perform. At 75,000 km took my X1 in due to a brake warning light. I was told the rear brakes Calgary BWM will not stand behind the service work they perform. At 75,000 km took my X1 in due to a brake warning light. I was told the rear brakes needed to be completely done to which I agree and they completed the work. A month later the warning light went on again, so I took the X1 back in, and told them it must be the front brakes because the rear ones were just done. Later they called me and told me that the problem was a broken sensor in the rear brake (the ones they had just worked on a month earlier) however they proceeded to replace the front brakes anyway (really without my authorization) even though that was not the source of the warning light, they explained that the front brakes would’ve needed to be done soon anyway, so I was OK with that. What I was not OK with is that they were charging the replacement of the sensor (that they had just replaced a month earlier) because somehow, according to them, I broke it driving over a rock or something (blame the customer first). Not true, the car was driving exclusively on Calgary roads (I use it to commute only). So I asked them to show me the sensor (I’m a mechanical engineer and routinely perform failure analysis). It was very obvious to anyone technically inclined that the failure was due to something rubbing against the cable, so a month of rubbing chewed up the cable, no signs of impact from a rock, the sensor was not properly attached. They finally agreed to pay for the sensor but it was not easy, they never gave me the chance to speak to a service technician, they let you only communicate with customer service (not a technical person) so the experience was frustrating. Right after the front brakes were done, I took the X1 back because of extremely loud squealing noise. They told me is was normal for “high performance brakes” (why didn’t the original brakes squeal?). At about 15000 km after the front brakes were done I started to feel the steering wheel vibrating when braking, so I took the car in (at about 20000 km after the brake work) and to my surprise they simply told me that I had to do ALL the brakes again, front and rear at my cost, because of signs of overheating “due to my driving” (the advisor told me I must drive very fast. Not true, and besides BMW cannot be driven fast?). Once again, blame the customer first. The original brakes had lasted 75000 km (the front actually 85000 and it was not yet totally worn). Once again impossible to talk to a service manager or technician, only a non-technical customer service person. I briefly spoke to the general manager who told me he was going to call me back but never did. So I’m now faced with re-doing brakes that should’ve normally lasted approx. 70000 km, only after 20,000+ km (needless to say, I pay more to have the brakes done at the dealership). Having brakes done is trivial mechanical work so this experience speaks poorly about Calgary BMW competence. More
"Very Disappointed"- First Time Service At A High End Dealer The experience at Calgary BMW was so unprofessional, dishonest and very disappointing. The Z4 I purchased privately had $4500 worth of work done there The experience at Calgary BMW was so unprofessional, dishonest and very disappointing. The Z4 I purchased privately had $4500 worth of work done there by the previous owner and had clocked less than 200 km before I bought it. Included in the work was new run flat tires and a four wheel alignment. The car had a vibration and it wondered. When I queried them, they said their work had a two year warranty. I showed them that the tire weights were old and dirty and didn't think the tires had been balanced and that I doubted it had enough toe in (I had a private BMW mechanic drive it first and he thought the same). They booked it in and checked it out and said the tires were all okay (but now all 4 wheels had new shinny weights and the sticky back from the old weights had been left on the rims - wow). They said it steers normal for that sporty model. So much for Warranty as I got charged for them checking it out! When I picked up the car there was a new dent in the thunk and the 3rd stop light was now broken. Some of the staff that came out the view the car never even introduced themselves to me first including the GM. Grant (the GM) said they would replace the stop light lens and have the dent repair fellows come over and fix it (there were a few other dents to fix that would be on my nickel and that was fine). I asked if I could just drop off the car at their shop but he said no they come here. The next day I learned that the dent shop had actually come and picked up the car. I said I was told they do the work here! That night when I picked up the car the stuff in the trunk was slid all around from being joy ridden. I was Not Impressed! Not happy with the way the car steered I checked with the shop German Automotive Repair (Shawn Honsberger had been a technician at the dealership) and he said it is most likely the run flat tires. So I put on four new Cooper RS3-A non run flat tires at Canadian Tire and that only improved the steering by about 20%. Still not satisfied, I had them check the alignment (which is a free check and took less than ten minutes) and the right rear wheel was toed out. Calgary BMW had never even done that after I had taken it back. Canadian Tire Beacon Hill did the alignment and it improved the steering by another 50% to the point where you can actually take your eyes off the road. Its a pleasure to drive now. We also have an older 320i so I know what a BMW should drive like. It is REALLY BAD when Canadian Tire out classes and out preforms a BMW shop. I wouldn't take my wheel barrow to Calgary BMW for a grease job !! More
Change for the worse This dealer used to be pretty special; offering great incentives and excellent customer service. I don't know what's changed, or if it's just that BMW This dealer used to be pretty special; offering great incentives and excellent customer service. I don't know what's changed, or if it's just that BMW M cars tend to sell themselves, but customer service has nosedived. This is one of the stingiest Alberta BMW dealerships offering little to no incentive and a "we'll just sell to someone else" attitude. Their best people seem to have left the parts department as well. You are much better off going to a dealership not owned by the Dilawri family. I've purchased 3 new BMWs from this dealership and had them serviced here before. The service guys are still quite good IMO but will swirl your paint when they clean your car. More
