Oil Filter Housing Leaking - Potential Catastrophic Failure After going in Jan 2019 on a PCV valve recall, Budd's did a complementary recommended services list, one of which was on the leaking Oil Filter Housin After going in Jan 2019 on a PCV valve recall, Budd's did a complementary recommended services list, one of which was on the leaking Oil Filter Housing - noting that catastrophic engine failure could occur. I thought it was a bit excessive; however later on searches found out this was a normal issue - especially on older models - 2008 128i convertible. My car is mainly parked in the garage over winter, so was going to wait until spring, but got a second reminder - booked to get it - very quick turnaround, got a taxi ride included from Hamilton mountain to Dundas, completed, LOF and engine shampoo for around $800. That was less than my usual mechanic in Dundas. You have to go with the big guys for some of these major items - service and follow-up by Ciro was great. Overall very happy with the experience. More

Very Satisfying Brought my X3 in for 55 point inspection and had a good experience, the next day I noticed the mechanic missed something. During their follow up email Brought my X3 in for 55 point inspection and had a good experience, the next day I noticed the mechanic missed something. During their follow up email they ask how it was and I told them. Not only did they correct the issue but they refunded my inspection cost. Great to see them stand behind their service!! More
Did not explain to me Vehicle check I was entitled for a free service my 750i by Nov 2018. However since I have been out of the country since 1st of August I was unable to get the car in I was entitled for a free service my 750i by Nov 2018. However since I have been out of the country since 1st of August I was unable to get the car in on time. I returned to Canada on Dec 27th and booked the car in for a service. The car was unused and garage parked during this period. I informed Budd's Service that I can provide proof that I was out of the country and that the car was garaged. They refused to accept this and provide the free service. Very disappointed, I can understand if the car was used during this period. I declined the car check for 150 bucks as I was being charged for the service. The service centre did not explain to me that this was needed to reset the service clock. Now it shows -mileage to next service. When I called Budd's I was told that this was because I did not have the vehicle check done. More

Worst Service Centre ever Budds Hamilton has proven to be incompetent or dare I say worse. Spent 4 K to repair an engine in my X5 over two visits that could not be repaired by Budds Hamilton has proven to be incompetent or dare I say worse. Spent 4 K to repair an engine in my X5 over two visits that could not be repaired by them. Turns out a little research after the fact showed BMW had recalled cars in the US for this issue but not in canada. Nothing was done more were they even aware of the issue. My 335 has been repaired numerous times at Budds in Hamilton with the last Three visits resulting in an undriveable vehicle the same day. Again refusing to take any accountability for the service issues. And every time failing to identify the issue they caused with their “service recommendations”. What are the odds of this? Lottery like given I was no longer going there and have never had any issues with other service centres. My most Recent was solely for a recall for the heater inside the vehicle. I explicitly told them to not open the hood, don’t put it up on the rack, don’t even wash it. All ignored and guess what happened? Broken coolant line during the post service inspection. They then said it was a high pressure oil line that would cost $1000. Don’t ever go to Budds if you value your safety and the integrity of your mechanic! More

Saturday Express Service The service by Ciro was very good. He was polite, clear and was focused on my appointment when I came in at my allotted time. The issue I have is the The service by Ciro was very good. He was polite, clear and was focused on my appointment when I came in at my allotted time. The issue I have is the Saturday “Express” Service takes 2 hours. Two hours is definitely not express in any context. I don’t understand that if I have an appointment at 9am why wouldn’t the service (oil and filter) begin within the next 15 minutes. People have things to do on a Saturday other than wait around for 2 hours. I know they can shuttle you somewhere but clearly there is something missing from BMW’s understanding customers and their time. More
