When I started my search for a replacement for my 09 Sierra in May 2015 wanted to see what the three truck makers offered although thought I would wind-up with a GMC Denali. Wanted a heated steering wheel and an interior that wasn't black so Ford was quickly eliminated. As I live near Halifax checked out two of the three local RAM dealers looking to see a Mega Cab and get info on ordering a gas truck. Turned out the only Mega Cab was in Truro so emailed the dealership to see if I could pop up to visit with no expectation that I would buy a RAM and, if I did, not likely it would be from a dealership in Truro. Jody responded quickly to my information request and a visit was arranged. Was so impressed with how Jody provided information, took time to explain the vehicle options, and help me narrow down a suitable configuration for my needs that I decided if I bought a RAM it would be from Blaikies vice returning to one of the Metro Halifax RAM dealerships. Am glad I did because, once I was finally able to get comparative pricing on a 2016 Denali (which took forever yet Jody patiently waited for me) and what I would get as a trade-in from a GMC Dealership where my Sierra had gone for every service over the past seven years, the package Blaikies offered was by far the better deal for a fully loaded 2500 Longhorn of equivalent value. The vehicle took a couple of months to arrive from the factory after the order was placed, and Blaikies were kind enough to provide a few additional year-end discounts that were a pleasant surprise. Jody and the team at Blaikies made this transition a very enjoyable experience and the truck that arrived is beautiful. Not just a sale! I've had a pretty tough year and I was making some changes in my life. One of them however wasn't a car (so I thought) since I didn't have mine for v I've had a pretty tough year and I was making some changes in my life. One of them however wasn't a car (so I thought) since I didn't have mine for very long; however the more I thought about it I knew I wanted to trade my car in because the winters in the maritimes are so awful. I had a vehicle set in mind since speaking to a friend of mine and hearing good things about it. Well my first time in Blaikies, I didn't know what to expect. Tom, my sales guy was right there helping me out as soon as I got out of my car and explaining my situation, took me to the vehicle I had in my mind I wanted. He was very friendly and professional and didn't try once to talk me out of it nor did he push me to buy it. It didn't take convincing though, this vehicle was unique and I was so excited for the new memories I was going to make in it. Charlotte made the financial part of it smooth and easy to deal with. She was easy going, sweet, while still being professional and answered every question and never left out any details. That was my first experience. This vehicle was great but unfortunately not practical for what I needed it for in the end. I was in a couple other times for service and the gang there were great too. I knew I had to be better prepared and talked to Tom again which led to my trade in number 2. Well Tom was just as good if not better the 2nd time around and he knew my situation. So he helped me get into a vehicle that he knew would make me much happier and would be what I really wanted. I never felt like just a sale to Tom, I was a real person. So with Tom and Gina working together I got what I wanted. Jody helped this time around with finances and was fantastic. Everything went just as smoothly as the first time. Drew, he always greeted me and almost always offered me my hot chocolate. Tom, Charlotte, Jody and Gina...you guys went above and beyond and I'm so grateful for your patience and help. I truly feel like part of the Blaikies family because they're all so happy to see me and say hi like we've been friends for a long time. The negotiation and communication process was primarily through phone and text which worked out great for me as I was very busy with work and couldn't afford the time away, especially living/working well outside Truro. We agreed that the dealership would look after the first few oil changes (they gave me a loyalty card in the dash (after further investigation the value was $25.00) Really who can get 2 oil changes for $25.00. Just make sure that you get everything in writing!! More

After a few days of research I stumbled upon the Dealer Rater website and noticed a lot of great feedback for Blaikies Dodge in Truro, NS. That was back in late August of this year. Having confirmed my status as Chrysler's Preferred Customer (through an affiliate program offered by my employer), I contacted the dealership via email (yup, too busy to call) and was greeted by Drew E. Dobson's immediate and friendly reply. Through the ensuing couple of days we worked on the details of my potential ride. Couple of days later, I visited the dealership and took a (then-2014) Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I need to point out that I had already made up my mind on particular trim level of the vehicle, as well as dropping unwanted items (like the Tech package, for instance). Drew was entirely understanding of my preference, and did not attempt to up-sell additional gadgets. He understood that I had already conceived in my mind an idea of specific vehicle, as well as my preference to order from Jeep's factory (thanks be to the affiliate program). That is when I met Colin Nickerson who presented the overview of financing options. Both him and Drew, along with the Manager, Erirk Muckle, worked on getting my monthly payments the way I wanted, again with no questions asked. I need to point out that it was exactly how I wanted to be treated. Once everything was confirmed we finalized the deal; Drew kept his promise and kept me in the loop for the entire waiting period. Fast-forward to today: just couple of days ago I picked up my ride, pristine condition, undercoated, and ready to roll. Upon delivery I was offered a laid-back meeting with Colin presenting the details of the financing contract; knowing that I was a newbie to Canada, Colin addressed a variety of questions that transcended the regular sales process. He shared his suggestions spanning virtually every aspect of vehicle use in Nova Scotia. That is something I am particularly grateful for. I would like to sum up by saying that Blaikies is indeed an outstanding place to make business. Chrysler should be proud of dedication and friendliness of the staff of this dealership; these traits make them stand out in the crowd. The amount of courtesy, respect for my needs, and honest approach towards pricing, have led me to the following conclusion: If you are looking for Chrysler Group's vehicle, this *is* your go-to dealership. Sure, there are other ones on the map, but if you want to be treated respectfully and with support to your needs, look no further, or simply, don't waste your time elsewhere.
