After we checked into the Motel it would not go out of “Park”. No GM dealership in the area had time to look at it due to it being near Independence Day. We spent the next couple of days driving my sister-in-law‘s vehicle. We figured out how to disable the HHR’s Neutral Safety Switch so that we could get back home (albeit without overdrive) and my wife made an appointment with Birchwood for the Monday after we got back. Due to the fact that our issue could have been a number of different things and that a shifter and another part had to come from far away places they had her vehicle for just over a week. She is retired, though, so we easily got by without needing to take advantage of a rental car. When we got her vehicle back after having the shifter, M.A.S. Air Flow Sensor, Serpentine Belt, and some sort of safety-switch-on-a-circuit-board replaced, it runs like new and we are very happy again. Thanks so much, Jordan and Birchwood!!! More
