Horrible expierence. I took a couple days to post this, as it's never good to write an honest review in the heat of the moment. Here's what happened. Salesperson wa I took a couple days to post this, as it's never good to write an honest review in the heat of the moment. Here's what happened. Salesperson was great, feel as if management didn't want her to make a sale. This is where it goes south. Our car was scrutinized while the model we were looking at had many noticeable issues (obvious covered up tailgate damage, rust, and interior damage) which the used car manager had no idea of, quoting it as "curious". No negotiations on price (1k away from closing a deal), and when the price dropped 1k (1 day later - on auto trader) we reached out and they wouldn't honor the price advertised, noting it as "an error". They even said, and I quote: "...we look like idiots now." Upon expierencing this, we went to the Newmarket VW dealership where we were told our car was "a bit of a celebrity" and lowballed the value of our vehicle by less than half of comparable models currently being sold in the same year/milage. Can't help but feel this came from the Barrie Dealership for whatever reason. We were not asking for an unreasonable amount for our vehicle, based on market value (approx sale price - less 5k). We even had to find a comparable vehicle ourselves and send them a link. Apparently the used car sales manager was unable to find a comparable vehicle, matching a fully loaded model. I could honestly go on and on, I just want to warn people before they shop here. Read all the reviews, good and bad. The bad ones seems very similar.. how "curious". I hope Barrie Volswagon reads this review and takes a step back to re-evaluate how they define customer service. More

He said he was sorry to waste my time and that they would reach out to someone to fix their system. In any case a total waste of my time and based upon their business practices would never recommend them to anyone. I will also be reporting the shady business practice to BBB and to OMVIC. More

My only experience with this dealership has been with Nishant, and I can’t speak highly enough about him. We needed an Atlas in a short time window and many dealerships I reached out to in Ontario wouldn Nishant, and I can’t speak highly enough about him. We needed an Atlas in a short time window and many dealerships I reached out to in Ontario wouldn’t even respond back at all or only after multiple emails because the supply of cars is so low. Nishant told me what the challenges with stock were, but he did everything to get us the exact vehicle we wanted. He was responsive to all our messages and went out of his way to get us videos and pictures of the vehicles we wanted to see, even when he wasn’t working that day. Nishant ended up finding us the Atlas we wanted and never once made us feel like a bother for trying to buy a car. I had a great experience with the dealership because of Nishant. More

I have left e-mails and voicemail at this dealership to try and speak to someone about the damage caused to my vehicle during an appointment to diagnose the leak in my sunroof. The only communication was a reply to my Google review stating incorrect information about the whole ordeal. Then the owner stated I only wanted the “free” work done when I returned for the next appointment to get service. He meant warranty, but I paid $1800 for an extended warranty for this vehicle in 2020 . I don’t think that classifies as free work. They opened my sunroof to figure out the leak. A mix of stagnant water and dead leaves stained the headliner in brown. The sunshade has never worked since. I was presented with a $1900 bill to fix headliner and replace drainage tubes, they said fixing the sunshade was in addition to that. The kicker…... I had the drainage tubes checked September 2020 by them. The sunroof leaked by July 2021. If I were given the option to replace the drainage tubes then. I would never be here…….. More

From our first visit to Barrie Volkswagen right through to pick up of our new Atlas Alex Moncayo went above and beyond. He made the experience easy and was very helpful. Went in to this location to order a boot for an axle on a beetle. I had paid for the part by debit. Turns out they gave me wrong boot for the car. And that he can’t find the boot I’m looking for. He said I would have to buy the whole axle at $700. And he said he couldn’t return my monies back by debit and that his superior would have to write a check.He also gave me a receipt of - the cost of the part and wanted to take the part back. I said I will hold on to that part until an ACTUAL refund is in place. I went to another parts supplier and they found the boot I needed within a couple of minutes. VW will treat you so nice when you are buying a car for thousands of dollars but wait till you bring that car in for warranty repairs. They WILL screw up your car deliberately and say it’s your fault you did something to the car. Parts counter employee totally incompetent and I have heard from over 50 people brought their cars here for repairs an paid thousands for repairs when only less than a $100 repairs was needed. I highly suggest to not even buy Volkswagen ever. They do not have the reliability that they did over 20 years ago and to boot they are crooks. More
