Called back right away and left a message, no reply next day call again, no reply this went on for a couple weeks until I got the general manager who offered me a free detailing but car needs to be there all day, I don't wish to spend a day in the service dept ...now I need warranty work trying to book it was a nightmare, called and got voice mail several times, I won't leave a message. Got through to the off site booking place asked about warranty and was told someone would call back for sure in 30 minutes....did that happen NO Called back again and the girl on switchboard kept trying till I got a person....they agreed car was under warranty and the problem with the seat belt on passenger side dinging when I put my box of Kleenex on the seat would be warranty. Now we get to booking the car....am told that if when they do the diagnostics if they deem it is not warranty it will cost me 115. I lost it. Seriously when they told me they did the detailing and took my 60 dollars why on earth would I believe them to tell me the truth about this problem. DO NOT GO HERE they have taken my money and lied to my face, so I don't believe them to be honest about this either. Would rather pay someone in my home town to fix it then trust them on warranty More

Trailer Hitch Issue I recently purchased a used 2016 Tiguan and I asked to have the trailer package from the brochure thrown in. On the day I received the vehicle, only t I recently purchased a used 2016 Tiguan and I asked to have the trailer package from the brochure thrown in. On the day I received the vehicle, only the receiver part was on the vehicle. They wouldn't throw in the wiring, that would cost over $300 plus two hours labour. They suggested I go to hitch city if I wanted the wiring done cheaper. Well I did that, and paid almost $200 at hitch city. Hitch city told me I had to take it back to the dealer to have it programed. Well, the dealer told me Hitch City only put a plug in, no module. The module needs to be installed which was that $300 "package" they wanted to charge me before. So I had to have that done if I wanted the wiring to ever work. So over $600 at the dealership and $200 at Hitch City, I can finally have working trailer lights. More

Lost trust in service Took in my Jetta to have the engine sensor replaced (covered under warranty). I drove it 3km and engine coolant leaked everywhere and it had to be tow Took in my Jetta to have the engine sensor replaced (covered under warranty). I drove it 3km and engine coolant leaked everywhere and it had to be towed back. Got that fixed and then a week later it had more issues (engine knocking and lagging). The service manager told me it was the intercooler kit that needed to be replaced and that it would cost $1600-$1700 and that it could damage my engine if I don't fix it. When I asked if it was covered under warranty, he said no (without asking the year or mileage on my car). I called VW customer service and found out it is covered under warranty but now the dealership is saying it is a minor issue and they won't fix it unless the engine light is on. I have completely lost trust in this dealership with regards to their work and their word - I strongly feel that the manager was trying to take advantage and get me to pay for a new kit that should be covered under warranty. Very disappointed! More
