I was told I am rallying around corners and its my fault???? I'm 50... I don't rally for pete sakes.. So very unhappy with banister Honda. They make the sale and your on your own. Thanks for nothing banister. Additional details in response to Pat Loehndorfs' comments.: You state that you contacted Honda on my behalf. I made complaints to the service staff on two separate visits regarding the rusting wheels and was told that's the way they are and nothing would be done. It was only after I noticed the tire wear, when checking my pressures and went to the dealership a 3rd time and insisted with the backing of Gene Kushniruk, that pictures were taken. I was told again not to expect anything and also that the wheels are junk. I heard nothing for 3 weeks and finally called Honda corporate myself. I was told no warranty and that it was my fault. I was told I was rallying. I said I was not and was asked " if I asked a 100 people looking for warranty, how many would admit they were rallying? None!" So I was called a liar as well, with a question that has no answer. I was told rust on these wheels is not a manufacturers defect. It's normal and acceptable.?? Also in all my visits, I was never once given a "pre-inspection walk around or your next oil change is free" that is stated on a large sign at entrance to service. It was never recommended or suggested that my tires should be rotated or I would have done so. I was unaware that rotations would be needed at such low km. I rely on the professionals? to advise me of this, when I take my car in for service. I do believe that rotating would mean I would have 4 worn out tires instead of two completely worn out ones and two 3/4's worn out. I will never know though as Banister Honda let me down. In regards to the wheels. Had I been informed of there potential to rust after one winter season as Mr. Loehndorf stated. I may have not purchased the vehicle or I may have bought the next model up "sport" with the upgraded rims and tires. To offer me "at your cost" is no offer at all. It just means you are willing to not profit from my misfortune. It is a insult and shows no good will on your part. I firmly believe my wheels and tires should be replaced with the sport models at no cost to me whatsoever. I will add though, that all the staff at Banister Honda with the exception of Grant Kitzman, who did not introduce himself and scowled the entire time... have always been friendly and courteous. Gene Kushniruk is a great salesman and has gone out of his way.. within the limits placed upon him by Banister Honda.. to help me. I am completely unsatisfied and will ensure others become aware of these issues, so that they will be properly informed before buying a Honda or from Banister. Yours sincerely, Jeff G. More

After I bought the Honda in Vernon, I questioned myself if I would drive to Vernon every time for servicing or if I would find a place in Salmon Arm to do any work. I drove to Vernon to get snow tires for the winter (they do have the best prices !!) and I went for my first service this past week, and I know that I will get everything done @ Bannister Honda. Service, respect and professionalism - can it get any better ?? More
14 years of satisfaction I bought my beloved CR-V in December 2000, and the staff at Bannister have kept it running in top condition ever since! There is nothing worse than taking your car in for a service and being presented with a shocking bill in the end. I have had that experience in the past with other car dealers, and one of the reasons I switched to Honda. In the end my service was $10 cheaper than her quote, so bonus for me! The service staff are friendly and helpful and the shuttle service is ready and waiting! On more than one occasion, I have come in with a special request, and they are happy to help out. I had stopped in to buy some replacement wiper blades, and they offered to put them on without me even asking. They washed my car even tho it was cold outside and said they might not be able to. I brought in replacement headlights and they installed them with a very minimal labour charge. All of these things may seem small to most people, but with my husband working out of town, and I am on my own most of the time, these small things mean a lot to me and I appreciate the effort very much. Way to go Bannister Honda! Thanks for being awesome!! More
