I had the displeasure of encountering Neville this morning and feel the need to share my experience. I dropped off my vehicle this morning at 7:45am and since I am from out of town, I was told by the morning and feel the need to share my experience. I dropped off my vehicle this morning at 7:45am and since I am from out of town, I was told by the booking agent to mention that I was, and that I would have to stick around until my vehicle was repaired. Neville was friendly up to this point, but when I told him that the booking agent informed me to let him know that I had to hang around, he let loose. He started going off about customers from much farther than I was, how it wasn't my problem that I lived out of town, that they don't operate on demand, how everyone else had to wait, that this wasn't a 30 minute oil change and essentially made me out to be a huge jerk. I tried explaining several times that I was only letting them know that I had to stick around and wasn't dropping my vehicle off for the day so they could do the job when they please. My comment was said very politely, and it's obvious he misinterpreted it as me demanding that my vehicle gets in and out with exclusive service and top priority. I made no demands whatsoever and simply repeated what the booking agent advised me to. He further went on to explain to another service tech who had walked over (while I was standing right there waiting for him to finish my paperwork) how I thought I could get exclusive service and that our 3 minute conversation was actually 30 minutes of me complaining and that I had no idea that their mechanics were actually "doctors" and they don't work on demand. I promise you, I know how this looks. Some guy wants his vehicle back ASAP, comes in like a jerk making demands and gets terrible service then comes to write a review. This is farther from the truth than you can imagine. I typically won't write a review unless I get exceptionally good service, or exceptionally bad. Neville has the honor of receiving my "exceptionally bad" review. Avoid the Bank Street Hyundai Service Department AT ALL COSTS, or at the very least be forewarned about Neville. More

When I arrived at Bank Street Hyundai I was greeted by a very friendly sales representative named Omar who turned out to be very helpful in finding the vehicle to suit my needs. I had already decided I was going to purchase a 2014 Tucson and Omar helped me find the right model for my needs with no pressure to purchase anything more then I wanted. We took several models out for a test drive and I am very happy with my purchase. I was able to negotiate several upgrades into the deal, financing was a cinch, and was introduced to the service staff. Joe and Omar we very knowledgeable about the all the many functions on the new SUV and I was delivered my vehicle in just a few days. Full marks for the staff at Bank Street Hyundai. I was referred from a friend at work. Even though we live in Gatineau, we decided to see how it would go buying a car in Ottawa. So my wife and I made an appointment and took the 45 minute drive.. He was friendly and professional. We wanted to test drive a Elantra 2013 GL and this was after a snow storm so Omar dug out the car and we then went on a test drive. Omar was very knowledgeable, answering any questions we had about the vehicle. And what he didn't know on the spot, he found out for us later on. When we bargained for the price, Omar helped us get the best possible deal by offering us all manufacturer incentives (rebates) and clearly explaining the payment types. It helped the process by having a Car Cost Canada Report. We agreed on a price (with extra set of winter tires and floor mats). We then met with Ernesto and he helped us fill-out the initial paperwork to officially purchase the vehicule. He was friendly. When we took possession of the car, we found a small scratch on the bumper. Omar immediately used some compound to rub out the defect. He also wrote on contract that I can go to service to get it repaired if I feel the need to do so. To close the deal and sign the papers, we met with Ashur. He was professional and friendly as well. He clearly explained every document we had to sign and made the process easy. The whole process was professionally executed without any issues at all. And all the staff we had the pleasure to meet at Bank Street Hyundai were pleasant to deal with. We will definitely go back to buy a new/used car when our payments end in 5 years. Erik & Celina More
