Dropped in to the dealership to check on the availability of any used Q5's. We were greeted by Charles and he showed us the vehicle we had seen online. The initial part of our experience was very good, dealing with Charles and the Manager on site for the price. We agreed to the deal and made arrangements to pay and pickup the car two days later. We were informed that evening that an error was made with the information provided by the dealership in regard to the Carfax paperwork that we signed. It was signed off as zero incidents. Charles sent a text to me informing there were two small items that had not yet been updated. These were very small items that I felt did not affect the deal. The dealership recognized that I had signed the Carfax paperwork as such, and had provided a non refundable deposit. The dealership offered my money back if I so desired, but we settled on some complimentary fuel cards. Pick up day did not go so well. The usual time was spent dealing with payment and the tutoring on the cars instrumentation. During this process we noticed that the Navigation was still not working. I was not too happy about this as it was mentioned to them two days earlier when we took the car for a test drive. The car was brought to the service department and my waiting began... Then, the sales manager Jason told me it may not get done by the end of the day and offered a loaner Q5 to go home with. He mentioned that if the car was ready by that evening he would deliver it to my home. Jason was very professional in trying to rectify the situation, and dropped off some Audi swag with the car that evening. I have to compare the pickup portion of our experience with the experience we had at a BMW dealership when we purchased a vehicle for my wife and the new Infinity I took delivery on in 2019. The advice I would offer to provide a better delivery experience with a used vehicle, is to do a thorough final check of the vehicle before a client takes delivery. The interior of the car was not cleaned to my my satisfaction as well. More
