Don't let the sales manager rush you into signing! ..I just want to share my experience with #AttrellHyundai. In 2014 I purchased a brand new vehicle. Got taken upstairs (literally) for the 'extra sell ..I just want to share my experience with #AttrellHyundai. In 2014 I purchased a brand new vehicle. Got taken upstairs (literally) for the 'extra sell' by Sandra Correia...went with the LIFETIME warranty on Upholstery and rust protection. set me back $999 + tax but since I had a small child and fabric seats, figured a LIFETIME warranty would be a good investment. Sandra Correia boasted about the warranty, and that because I purchased the 'Extra care coverage' I had even MORE protection!! For a LIFETIME !!!! On Feb 12, 2018, 3.5 years later, I brought the car in to make use of the warranty. The dealer cleaned the problem areas and then called me to ask for the 2016 inspection certificate...the what? Sandra Correia forgot to mention in her upsell that the vehicle needed to be inspected every 2 years for the warranty to be valid. This was news to me. I was told by the dealership that I signed agreeing to this...my first response was to tell him that I was never told of this inspection requirement and I was livid....I was told then that because they had already cleaned the seats that this would be a 'GOODWILL' gesture but now my LIFETIME WARRANTY WAS VOIDED. I went home to check the paperwork...where we signed it said in order for the warranty to be valid, the dealer had to submit the paperwork and fees within 30 days. Nothing else. On page 3 the fine print mentions the inspection. So - should I have read the agreement in full? Absolutely. But anyone who has purchased a vehicle at the dealership knows of their strongarm tactics, their fast talking and wheeling and dealing and the pressure they put on you on the spot to make a decision, and they don't give you time to read everything. Like I told them - I bought a car from you, you didn't have to teach me how to drive. But if I needed to actively do something to keep the warranty valid, you should have told me. I would have done it. I just lost over $1000...Am I wrong in thinking that Sandra Correia had a responsibility in letting me know that there were inspection requirements for the warranty to be valid? Is that too much to expect that in the extra 20 minutes they forcibly confine you in the small room upstairs that they take 20 SECONDS to tell you that you have to do something to keep your warranty in order?? She took time draw me a picture of why I should buy gap insurance! Why not instruct on how to keep the warranty valid since those details were on page 3, not where we signed?? I almost feel as though this is done on purpose - get the money but they will never have to provide the service - pure profit. I hope that this post will save even 1 person the same fate that has befallen me. I also hope that Attrell Hyundai will ensure their Sales Managers correct this with future sales pitches. I just want to make sure other people don't fall into the same TRAP More

IT'S A NO BRAINER.....ATTRELL HYUNDAI ALL THE WAY!! My son purchased a Sonata 1-1/2 years ago. John Booth in service went over and above and helped my son with a particular issue. During one service visit, Mike Bell (used care sales rep) happened to chat me up and assisted me with a rental car I was picking up on my son's behalf. I was so impressed at his willingness to get involved when it had nothing to do with him...and based on his very PRO HYUNDAI attitude and knowledge of the company and its cars, I vowed I would be back to get my next car from him. That time finally came. I saw him Monday night and by Wednesday at dinner I had my new (used) car!! Easiest transition of my life....an honest and very personable rep. We have two more cars to die (hopefully not too fast LOL), but I WILL BE BACK!! We are now a two Sonata family and eventually will be a four Hyundai family! The crew, those I had the pleasure of meeting, helped in one way, shape or form, and did so with a smile on their face! More

My first experience with service for my maintenance was not too bad , but not great either as my appointment was at 7:30 am and they were still getting things opened up. lights turned on etc.. I guess too early for the staff , .. I felt uncomfortable waiting in the reception area at that time in the morning as the staff at the front area chatting it up with some of the guys from service. I was not greeted , or really acknowledged until the car was done. (to pay ) I thought of giving the dealership another chance. as they are so close to where I live . I booked an appointment and well my second experience with service was way worse , I had to wait longer than told and only when I approached the front desk to inquire how much longer some girl at the front eating yogurt and some other guy asks whats your name and do you have the Elantra was unable to tell me, she said to go and ask the service guy in the garage oh and what's your name again ?? !!, 20 more minutes and my car was ready, well I took pictures what a joke this place is .. the complimentary wash, well why bother as the car looked the same as when I went in today !! very unsatisfied with the dealership I will have to find someone else to do my maintenance.. Service department is very deceitful! I found Attrell Hyundai's (in Brampton, Ontario) Service department, especially person named Mike Waden - very deceitful! I bought my car 2015 Hyun I found Attrell Hyundai's (in Brampton, Ontario) Service department, especially person named Mike Waden - very deceitful! I bought my car 2015 Hyundai Elantra in late 2014. Ever since I bought the vehicle, it was giving me issues with the brake. Finally, in 2015, I went to Attrell Hyundai Service to get them checked under warranty. They said there was indeed a problem and they had to replace the rotors which they did. After that, within a year of replacing the rotors, I started experiencing issues with the brakes again. So I went for the inspection which must have been covered under warranty. But Mike refused to carry out the inspection. He said that a technician had driven the vehicle around and it doesn't have any issues with it. So, I insisted that I go with the technician. When I went for the inspection drive, I showed him clearly that the brakes were making lot of noise and vibrations could be felt when braking at high speeds. However, they did not budge and asked me to come if the problem elevates! I asked them to give this to me in a written note but they refused! I lived with it then. After few months, again I booked an appointment to get my brakes inspected because the sound was just increasing and brakes were less effective. But this time he says its not under warranty and I will be charged for inspecting whats wrong with brakes/rotors etc. Mike Waden treated me very rudely and in a disrespectful way. If, according to him, there was no problem with the brakes the first time then why the need to refuse a formal inspection which should have been under warranty? And why were they not willing to give that in writing? I have been having issues with the brakes on this car since the time I bought it. Moreover, I find it ridiculous that although Hyundai mentions it has the best warranty program, but when we actually look into the details and how they service it, its the poorest. And they seem to have the poorest of parts too. On top of that, this dealership is so ignorant and rude overall, that I have not seen it anywhere else with any other company/dealership. They exploit their customers and are only concentrated on how to rip the customer of his/her money in any possible way. More

I have been in contact with Hyundai Canada and have reported this behavior. They also informed me to use another Hyundai dealership. Would not recommend anyone to this dealership. More

Giving wrong information Have my car serviced for a recall, Attendant said about 1 hr.
