Buyer beware. Buyer beware! I purchased a ford ranger here a few years back. I payed cash for the truck and boy was i ever taken advantage of. First of all the v Buyer beware! First of all the vehicle had pased there safety with no working front lights and an emergancy break that didnt work. As the truck was a 5 speed it makes it that much more important that the parkig break works. As the parkng break was ceased i had to get i fixed right away at another shop. 5 star covered that bill and madet he nescissary repairs. Althogh it speaks loads when there mechanic will signe off on the saftey with these crutial components no in workig order. This person shoud loose there liscense before they kill somebody. The replacment parking break wore out quickly as it was installed wrong and the cable was rubbing againt the tire. The worst part was they sold me the vehicle with 2 leans on it, one was put there buy them. As i paid cash they didnt have to disclose ths information and as i thougt i was making a purchase from a dealership i had nothing to worry about. I was wrong Buyer be ware! Band-aid Solutions to get cars off the lot I bought my 2008 Ford Escape from 5 Star 10 months ago. The car died on the first day I had it, so 5 Star had it towed, and "fixed". I was told the ba I bought my 2008 Ford Escape from 5 Star 10 months ago. The car died on the first day I had it, so 5 Star had it towed, and "fixed". I was told the battery would be replaced, but the "new" battery only lasted 6 months. I was also told the ignition cylinder was replaced their fix lasted 9 months. My mechanic just installed a new ignition cylinder in the car and removed the one they duct taped back together. I'm now in $700 on just parts I was told were replaced when I bought it. If you buy a car from 5 Star take it to a real mechanic. their mechanic said my car would be ready tomorrow for 10 days, and in the end did nothing but waste my time. More

Sleezy sales and VERY shady repair shops We bought a 2012 Ford Flex that had an engine light on when we looked at it. We were assured it would be fixed at the shop and were told it needed a t We bought a 2012 Ford Flex that had an engine light on when we looked at it. We were assured it would be fixed at the shop and were told it needed a tune up. We picked up the vehicle a week later then were promised, and the engine light came back on 2 minutes down the road. The vehicle was shaking horribly at a stand still. We also noticed a crack in the moonroof, so that needed replacing. There was a small spot of rust I wanted fixed as well, and was told it would be all fixed at the body shop. To make this short, their shop is full of sketchy "mechanics" who do not know what they are doing. They fixed nothing, and after one trip to a good Ford dealership I learned the flex needed a new timing chain and tensioner. $2000 repairs out of my own pocket because I will not let their horrible shops touch my vehicle! They also claim that the Ford dealerships diagnosis is wrong, which Ford LAUGHED about. Ford is aware of 5 stars hack shops. To fix the rust, their detail crew chipped the rust away and slapped on some touch up paint that doesn't match!! I still have to have the moonroof replaced and rust fixed out of pocket. When I called David I was told that I did not purchase a car from 5 star dealers, I purchased it from the finance company we are with. Stay away from 5 Star Dealers, or make sure the vehicle you are buying is mechanically sound (take it to YOUR mechanic). They prey on people with no or damaged credit. DO NOT TRUST THEIR SHOPS, STAY AWAY. THEY WILL NOT FIX YOUR VEHICLE. Pablo would not disclose the location or name of their shop to me until I threatened to take it to the ford dealership.
