Hello Gerrison, I wanted to personally address the concerns you have listed. We have already spoken on the phone since you first reported this complaint and I feel I must re-iterate what I said. Dealerships in general, no matter what the brand do not set prices for vehicles, interest rates or rebates. These are directives that come directly from the manufacturer and every dealer must adhere to them. I also wanted you to understand that Hyundai Canada, as well as every other manufacturer, change their incentives, promotions and programs on the 1st of every month based on a number of factors. You purchased your vehicle from our dealership at a time where the manufacturer was offering a totally different incentive then when your friend bought his/her vehicle. It is unfortunate that the following month from when you purchased, the incentives from Hyundai got a little bit better for the factory clear out. You are not the only one, as this also happened to me personally. I purchased my very own Santa Fe from our dealership in July, and 2 weeks later, when August 1st rolled around, Hyundai Canada increased the manufacturers rebate by another 750 dollars. Even as an employee, I cannot call Hyundai Canada and ask for the additional money back as this promotion was not available when I purchased my own vehicle. With that said, as a volume dealer, we do give out incredible deals when we can, but we can only work within the window that Hyundai Canada allows us to and this window changes each and every month. Even though this situation happened and we cannot change it, we offered you a couple of free oil changes for our service department as again, we do try to maintain a positive relationship with everyone that walks through our doors.
