This is not a specific dig at Zender as I know this issue is above the service department pay grade. I had a great experience with Diane when needing to lease a vehicle for my return to work after a mate is above the service department pay grade. I had a great experience with Diane when needing to lease a vehicle for my return to work after a maternity leave. At the end of October 2024 I leased a 2024 Hybrid Escape ST-line. Within a few months I started to notice some troubles with the display screen. Sometimes it would completely freeze up which meant I had to pull over and turn off my car then turn it back on. Sometimes the display itself wasn't frozen but no sound would come out when reading messages, making or accepting phone calls or listening to music. (Apple car play). As the months went on, the issue occurred more often. When the screen freezes, I no longer have access to control the heated seats, the heated steering wheel, the temperature setting, the level for the fan as well as any feature I would use while connected to car play such as navigation, texting, music etc. Before showing up at the dealership I was able to provide a video of the issue. I was given a rental and phoned back the same day saying a reboot had been done and the problem should be fixed. As soon as I turned my vehicle on while in the dealership parking lot, low and behold, the screen was frozen. I was pissed to say the least. I took a video of it while in the car (now providing two videos). The dealership kept my vehicle for another week claiming that unless they themselves could duplicate the issue, that Ford couldn't do anything. Of course, while in their care, they were unable to duplicate the issue and asked me to come get my car. Not 15 minutes after picking up my car, I stopped for gas. When turning on my vehicle, the screen once again was not playing any sound. I drove straight back to the dealership without turning my car off. They looked at it and said that the radio works. That Ford has been working on a big fix for this issue for 6 months and basically till the software update comes out, it is what it is. I was advised by Kim in the service department that the issues I am having isn't new and that they have had many customers in looking to get the issue fixed. I'm sorry for FORD this is not something to brag about. The fact you continue to sell vehicles knowing your SYNC system is faulty is negligent. The fact I was not told about this prior to leasing my vehicle is shaddy. I signed a contract for a 5 year lease and continue to make payments on a car that is performing below expectations. This car is barely a few months old. Ford is not holding up their end of the deal in providing me a vehicle that is safe and reliable. More

Diane was friendly and totally understood what I wanted for the type of vehicle I desired. She directed me to this vehicle and it was exactly what I wanted in style and so lucky it was the color I loved. for the type of vehicle I desired. I have purchased 4 vehicles from City Ford and now Zenders and I always get great service, even during my most frustrating experiences. They always deliver. More

READ YOUR CAR FAX! ! I have bought about 8 vehicles from Zender over the years without much trouble. I usually don't read the paperwork too closely, like everyone else. ! I have bought about 8 vehicles from Zender over the years without much trouble. I usually don't read the paperwork too closely, like everyone else. This time, it bit me! $13k damage from a front end collision! I had no idea till months later, steering issues, dangerous to drive, and I'm super upset! I will never “Return to Zender” again. Who would want their kid driving a dangerous vehicle? I was quintessentially called a liar by Shane Zender when he claimed I was told about the accident at time of purchase, which I was not. Truck is dangerous to drive. The salesman will not tell you about damage to the vehicle till long after you've signed the paperwork. READ THE CARFAX PLEASE. When I spoke to Rick the manager of the mechanic departments he claim there is nothing in the system and he had never even heard of the problem which was a lie as well. The service advance track warning system light comes on repeatedly and all they do is reset the computer every time I bring it in without trying to fix anything in reality. The truck steers weird and pulls to the left randomly which is extremely dangerous on the highway. Probably been in six times over the matter and absolutely the last place I will ever go to buy or service a vehicle again and I go through a lot of vehicles. On average I buy a vehicle every 3 years. Shane Zender told me to "do whatever I have to do" so I think I'm even gonna put an ad in the paper locally and other areas to try and warn other people from going through what I am. Absolutely pathetic and dirty pool. Search me and message me on LinkedIn if you want more information. More
