I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with Yorkdale Volkswagen was frustrating enough that I feel obligated to share it. We leased a brand new Volkswagen Tiguan, and within just 1.5 mont with Yorkdale Volkswagen was frustrating enough that I feel obligated to share it. We leased a brand new Volkswagen Tiguan, and within just 1.5 months, the vehicle stalled in the middle of an intersection, a dangerous and stressful situation. To make matters worse, the SOS feature didn’t work, and even contacting roadside assistance was difficult due to repeated call disconnections. When the vehicle was finally brought to the dealership, we were informed of a radiator issue and presented with a repair bill of approximately $1,500. For a vehicle this new, this was both surprising and concerning. We received the our repaired Taguan over a month later. What was most disappointing was not just the issue itself, but how it was handled. Despite speaking with multiple levels of the dealership including service management and leadership there was no meaningful effort to provide goodwill support, compromise, or customer-focused resolution. The situation was treated strictly as “not covered,” with little consideration for the timing, circumstances, or our long standing loyalty to the Volkswagen brand since 2018. Even after raising reasonable concerns and seeking independent opinions, the dealership stood firm without offering any alternative form of compensation or customer care gesture. For a company that claims to value customer relationships, this was extremely disappointing. This experience has completely changed our perception of both the dealership and the brand. A situation like this especially so early into a lease should be handled with far more care and accountability. If you value customer service and support after the sale, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before choosing this Yorkdale Volkswagen dealership. More
