I initially had a different sales agent at this dealership who left while we were waiting for our car to be delivered. We placed an order for a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid LE in November 2023, with an estimat dealership who left while we were waiting for our car to be delivered. We placed an order for a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid LE in November 2023, with an estimated delivery of approximately 6-8 months. By June, we received an update that the car would instead be delivered in November 2024 — a full year later. Due to unforeseen health reasons, we urgently needed a car. David Marshall took over and rearranged vehicle availability; fortunately, the XLE hybrid was available, and we took it out of desperation. Andrew Ward then took over, and I must say, I appreciate his positive energy. He is always upbeat and joking around, genuinely without any ulterior motive. He consistently takes my calls and promptly responds to my inquiries. Another significant advantage is that this dealership charges a considerably lower dealership fee (almost half) compared to other Toyota dealerships in the area. The standard dealership fee allowed is $999 as per the Toyota Canada website, but it's at the dealership's discretion, often overlooked by average buyers. If I were to buy another Toyota in the future, I would undoubtedly return to this dealership and have Andrew Ward as my go-to person. More

I recently purchased a Sienna SE 2016 van from Whitby Toyota, where my agent was Tony Khoury. I paid for the vehicle in full, but right after completing the paperwork, agent Tony denied that the vehicle Toyota, where my agent was Tony Khoury. I paid for the vehicle in full, but right after completing the paperwork, agent Tony denied that the vehicle could be returned within a month and revealed that it has not been inspected by Toyota 160 point. That was a shocking revelation, especially when they told me in my first visit. I was with my kids and family. Make sure to do your own research and don't trust their promises, as their practice seems no different from private car sales. My experience was not good, and I was deeply disappointed with their attitude and remarks. I bought a Totota Sienna in Used condition. More
While attempting to buy a new car, I called around the different Toyota dealerships to see if I could test drive a car. Whitby had one for test-drive. After I got there, the sales advisor Bandula had told me that the car is available and ready for sale, only upon a trade-in. (Obviously, as they're trying to make a quick buck given the large wait time for the vehicle) We told the advisor we'd bring in the car tomorrow, as he made it clear it was URGENT otherwise the vehicle would be sold. We scheduled time off work to go out of our way to Whitby Toyota. When we got there, suddenly the vehicle was "SOLD"... This makes no sense, given that we showed up right before the store's closure the day before and we made an appointment for the next afternoon. We had even exchanged messages inbetween this time, and at no point did they mention this prior to our arrival. Why? BECAUSE THEY WANTED A SALE. We were obviously upset, the sales director, Richard comes out and quickly tells us actually the vehicle wasn't sold, it's being used as a test drive unit. What a shocker... Massive miscommunication between the sales team and the upper management. Why waste our time, let us book off work and then when we show up finally tell us? We told them we're good and we were ready to walk out, Richard stops looks at us and asks. Why wouldn't you buy from us? How about the fact that your deceptive, dishonest and disrespectful of peoples time? Pulling cheap tactics to get customers through the door. I've never had this experience once at Tesla, Honda or any other Toyota dealership. Go to Clarington Toyota, or quite frankly any other Toyota dealership for a relaxed experience. Put your deposit, and enjoy your new Car in a few months. These 2 are the epitome of the "used cars salesmen" archetype that dissaudes people from ever wanting to shop for cars. This dealership get a five star for its service and its sales. We have been going there for over 40 years as a family. I trust them and recommend them to everyone. The sales people are patient and respectful all the while taking care to find a product that suits our needs, no matter how many months it takes. Do not use Whitby Toyota’s service department, they’ll cut corners, and scam you. I was charged an "Environmental Recycling and Disposal" fee for a service that had no consumable parts (visual inspecti cut corners, and scam you. I was charged an "Environmental Recycling and Disposal" fee for a service that had no consumable parts (visual inspection + tire rotation). When asked why I was charged an environmental fee they simply said "everyone gets charged that", when I pressed further, the supervisor / manager came over and reviewed the invoice (I assume she was trying to see if she could find a way to justify it), then left for a few minutes and returned with an updated invoice stating "The system wouldn't let me remove the fee, so I reduced the cost of the service to compensate for it" That was just one of several issues during my LAST service appointment with them; I will NOT be going back there. I HIGHLY suggest that any customers who do still frequent this location, please review your service invoices for extra charges BEFORE paying them. It was a fight to get the charges removed, I imagine it would have been even more difficult if I had blindly paid (before even being shown an invoice). More
