Hello, thank-you for your review. We are sorry that the trade value we offered you for your 2006 Mercedes was not adequate. Although this can happen sometimes, it is not intended to be an insult. We know that any dealer that bids too low on trades in the age of information with the internet will win very few deals with their informed clientele, and simply wouldn't do much business. Although any dealer can get outbid on a particular trade by another, we know from our years of experience in our community that it happens very seldom with us. As a franchise dealer trying to ascertain the value of an older trade, for a car that we likely will not keep on the lot, and particularly a luxury brand like Mercedes, we typically rely on the best 3 bids we can get. It appears that there was something about your trade that made our bidders nervous, but that doesn't mean that their assessment was correct. If you have not yet bought another car, we would be happy to re-inspect and appraise your car again with the goal of satisfying you. We understand if the time for that type of thing has passed, but regardless, we wanted to formally apologize for the perceived trade value insult.
