FULL OF DISAPPOINTMENTS, UNPLEASANT PURCHASE EXPERIENCE my family was seriously looking for a replacement car as our car got into an accident end of June. we visited Whitby Oshawa Honda in July for just ab my family was seriously looking for a replacement car as our car got into an accident end of June. we visited Whitby Oshawa Honda in July for just about an hour. here are 3 BIG REASONS that i would never recommend this dealership to ANYONE i know. 1/ when i was about to go into Frank Salomone's office (the sales floor manager) to negotiate an offer together with my husband, our kids accidentally spilled some water on the floor in front of the drinking machine (near the washroom). as it maybe slippery to others i informed the reception lady at the parts and service dept who was looking down to her phone, SHE TOLD ME AND POINTING TO ME THAT THERE WERE PAPER TOWELS INSIDE THE WASHROOM and that implied me, a customer, to clean the floor. i did, just because i don't want others to slip or to get hurt. but i would never imagine i was to clean the floor of the showroom. i would definitely receive more respectful response in a fashion boutique in a shopping mall, for example, than in Whitby Oshawa Honda which i was going to make a over $20,000 purchase of a vehicle!!! 2/ we had emailed and confirmed that we need our car to have all touch-up (paint chip found on some areas of the vehicle we placed deposit, we even sent pictures) and oil change completed upon picking up our car. the last email we received from Frank Salomone was: "everything is done, the only thing you need to do is to bring the balance and to drive the car away". we felt confident that everything must be well taken care of when we read the replied email. TO OUR BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT, NOTHING WAS DONE when we picked up our car. paint chips were still there, oil has not been changed. although they gave us a free oil change coupon, be honest, i would not spend my gasoline to drive 40 mins to this dealership for this free oil change. 3/ we were asked the only time slot to pick up our purchased vehicle is 9-10am, or after 5pm if on Saturdays. reserving the prime time to serve walk-in customers is understandable, but this request isn't friendly always to everyone. we imformed and confirmed we would be arriving at 9am on a Saturday (July 16, 2016) to pick up our car, as we have a FUNERAL SERVICE to attend at 10am (20 mins drive from dealership). upon arrival, we were asked to WAIT, as Frank Salomone (or others who could help) were in MEETING. we waited for more than 20 mins, someone FINALLY came and assisted us. then we found nothing was done with the car (see 2/ above), etc. We were late to the funeral service at the end... in short, WE HAD A VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH OUR PURCHASE WITH WHITBY OSHAWA HONDA. i strongly believe i would receive much better service in anywhere else. the two visits were FULL OF DISAPPOINTMENTS. we probably are one of the easiest customers with just 1 hour of shopping before a deal made on a vehicle purchase. thank you. Positive experience! I was a little apprehensive shopping for a new car. I knew Honda had a great reputation. I was looking for a car that would allow me to drive my gra I was a little apprehensive shopping for a new car. I knew Honda had a great reputation. I was looking for a car that would allow me to drive my grandson feeling more secure. Dave Escalano was very helpful,and patient. I test drove the CRV and HRV. After carefully examining both, I decided on the HRV. It is the perfect car for me. I love it and I am so happy I chose the HRV. Thank you Dave! More
