Our family was in a serious car accident a few weeks ago. We required a larger vehicle than the Sante Fe (great vehicle by the way as we have owned one in the past) or Veracruz and much to our chagrin the Entourage is no longer brought into Canada so we decided on purchasing a used vehicle. We did go to 2 other dealerships before making any decisions. Alan, Melanie & Mike were understanding and helpful. I was lucky enough to have Richard answer my call when I phoned to discuss used car options, specifically an SUV at west end hyundai. My wife and I were pleased with the service and sound knowledge that Ric phoned to discuss used car options, specifically an SUV at west end hyundai. We did not once feel that he was just dealing with us to "get the sale" and in fact took the time to understand what we were looking for so that he could provide us with as many options so that we could make a sound decision. Once we narrowed the SUV down to a few choices Richard again provided in-depth information on the vehicles and the various options. He took the time to answer our questions and did not pressure us at any time to make any quick decisions, rather he wanted us to take the time to make our decision and was very conscious of our wants and needs. Once we decided on the vehicle and began working with Vance in finance, we were again extremely pleased with his courteousness which made the entire experience very pleasant. Alan was the sales associate I dealt with. He was extremely organized, knowledgeable and, perhaps most importantly, did not try to pressure me into anything. In fact, he is a huge reason why I bought a car at Hyundai and, more specifically, West Edmonton Hyundai. In the finance department, I dealt with Vance Yue. Vance was a pleasure to deal with. He was able to explain the complexities of vehicle finance in a patient, easy to understand manner. While he presented me with all of the various options and packages, he made it very clear that it was my decision. He handled all of the paper work in fast, efficient manner while presenting a welcoming, easy-going atmosphere. Honorable mention also goes to Aaron Ratsoy and Brian Dawson. I only had brief encounters with Aaron and Brian but was, again, very pleased with the service I received. Tom Peter's went the extra mile to make my buying experience a very special one. I was not happy, when I did not have any heated mirrors on my new vehicle, but he made sure I did have this feature. experience a very special one. I drove to Edmonton to purchase a vehicle that I saw on the internet, and also in a sales flyer. It turned out when I got there, it was not the car I thought I was purchasing. I was dealing with a sales person called Kip, so it turned out that I bought a different car, on my way back to Fort McMurray, I realized that my car did not have heated mirrors. When I got home I tested Kip and asked where my heated mirrors were, and he test me back saying, you went over the options on that car in my office, you do not have heated mirrors, just heated seats. Glad you made it home safe. So then a few days later I get a call from Tom Peters (Public Relations Manager) I told him of my experience and the internet having all the wrong information for the vehicles that I was comparing online before ever making the trip to Edmonton. He then told me he was going to look into it and wanted to know if it would make me happy to have heated mirrors in the car, I told him I would be estatic, so he told me he would get back to me, which he did by email. I didn't hear anymore for a few weeks, so I decided to email him and ask him what the status of my heated mirrors was. He called me the same night, and said someone from the dealership was supposed to call me but they had not. He said I will see what happened tomorrow, I asked when I would hear back from him and he told me by friday. Well Thursday afternoon I get a call from Tom, who told me that he was going to have my car checked by Car Tech the following day in Fort McMurray to find out if it had heated mirrors or not. He then said "your car is supposed to have heated mirrors," I told him that is what I thought! I have taken the car to the garage this morning and low and behold the car DOES HAVE heated mirrors!!!! I AM ESTATIC!!!! I have a Volkeswagon Jetta at home which is fully loaded and it has a seperate button for heated mirrors. Well the Hyundai Elantra, has one button which operates the rear defogger and the heated mirrors, and there is no indication anywhere in the car that this button is also for the heated mirrors... the dealer (Kip) did not know this, because he told me the car did not have heated mirrors and I still have his text to prove this!! I want to sincerely, thank Tom for going the extra mile to make me estatically happy with the purchase of my new 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS Coupe.
