Evelina was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the features on our new vehicle. She was very friendly. Chris and Roman took the time to "right the wrong" made at a different Toyota dealership and it was very much appreciated. More

He went above and beyond to make my 4Runner test drive experience unforgettable. From the moment I walked in the dealership, I was greeted warmly and felt valued. Despite his busy schedule, he took time out of his day to accommodate my test drive request. He answered all my questions, provided valuable insights, and demonstrated the vehicle's impressive capabilities. His knowledge of the 4Runner was outstanding, and he made sure I understood all the available options. What impressed me the most was his genuine passion for the Toyota brand. I hit a deer near Christmas. Unfortunately ended up having to write the vehicle off and still owed $700 on my loan. Originally I had a Dodge Dakota but hoped there would be a larger one for work. I spent months contacting dealerships and had a couple ppl searching for a somewhat decent priced used truck with adjustable peddles because of my disability. Unfortunately there was nothing out there. I didn't want to spend money on getting them put in as it's very expensive. I found a truck just listed for an awesome price of $22,999, low kms, and it was newer than what I've owned. I inquired to Toyota Northwest Edmonton if the truck had my pedals. Of course it did not. They convinced me they'd add the pedal installment to my loan. I work in the trades and I needed a vehicle desperately but I pay out of my pocket for my truck so I figured I'd go through with it. Explained to the salesman I paint houses and need a reliable vehicle and safe to drive my daughter around. He was all "yes this would be a great truck for you etc!" I also made the fatal mistake of telling them I'm approved for around $35 000 but I needed one under $30 000 as I cannot afford high biweekly payments. They quickly took my drivers license and convinced me that if I put a downpayment on the vehicle, the banks would see that and I would be more likely to get approved. Then he took my credit card info for the downpayment of $500. Shortly after a lady phoned and got the rest of my info to apply for a loan. The next day the sales manager called telling me I'm approved but the payments will be a little higher and loan term will be shorter especially because I put the pedals on it. I agreed to it and they said they'll get that ready for me. I called back asking to just pay for the pedals up front to lower my biweekly cost. He replied, I don't have a debit machine on me but someone will call shortly to get that. I was excited to finally be getting a truck. I noticed the truck was up listed still for sale and the price went up by $4000. I text the sales guy why it went up in price and what about my down-payment. The sale manager called back explaining they needed to do some work on the truck. I explained i needed it for work and the last delearship sold me a truck unsafe to drive and i had to put a ton of money into it. He assured me their making it safe for work. I asked what needed to be done. I got a vague answer of oh an axel and a few other things. Shortly after the same lady called back and went through warranty packages and got me to sign a pre approval. No one told me what happened to my down-payment and despite requesting numerous times I didn't want my pedal installment on my loan they added it as a downpayment. The next day they call back and said I'm not approved. The next day I get a call that I was denied my approved but they have another bank who would do it. I also questioned her why I'm paying an extra $4000 for damages when I originally inquired about the vehicle when it was priced lower. She asked if they disclosed the carfax and I said they did not. They only mentioned an axel. She said they should have disclosed the carfax. She sent me the carfax and I saw it was in several collisions. I still went ahead trying to get approved because if anything happens, I've got warranty. Repeatedly denied. Then some guy filling in for the lady calls and says they have a bank who will do it but I have to remove my warranty. I said yes still but never heard back and it had been over 24hrs. I had been dealing with them for a week. The truck was removed a day later from their listing but it wasn't me who got it. I was still charged $500 that I have to pay my relative back for borrowing the money. Contacted the VMIC but they did nothing and I'm trying to get the credit card company to reimburse the money they stole. I still don't have a truck for work, to drive my daughter to daycare or drive to meet family i haven't seen in a year for a vacation I haven't had in 3yrs. More

I "purchased" a Corolla in JULY 2022 through Caleb at Northwest despite friends warning me not to shop there. Not once in SIX months did Caleb or anyone at Northwest reach out to me to let me know the Northwest despite friends warning me not to shop there. Not once in SIX months did Caleb or anyone at Northwest reach out to me to let me know the status of my purchase and everytime I contacted them I was told they were waiting on an ETA. For SIX month not ONE Corolla XSE came in? Interesting. According to other Toyota dealerships in Edmonton, there were cars coming in. After finally being told by Caleb in January 2023 that a Corolla would be available in APRIL and that my deal would need to be renegotiated because my trade in was older and lost value, my deal that I had IN WRITING, I decided to give up and try another dealership. I went to Gateway Toyota on Sunday and drove the Corolla XSE off the lot on Tuesday. They were friendly, helpful and although it cost me a little more it was worth it. I regret not going there first. If a deal seems to go to be true, it probably is! Avoid Northwest! More
