This is a long story, but I thought it was worth telling. I normally do my own work but, having just moved to Edmonton, no room in garage yet to work well and the washer pump is out on my wife's vehicle. I normally do my own work but, having just moved to Edmonton, no room in garage yet to work well and the washer pump is out on my wife's vehicle. I took her 1992 Toyota 4Runner in to have the windshield washer pump fixed, get an oil change and the headlights aimed. Since it just turned over a 100,000 Klms, no that isn't a typo, I asked them to give it a good going over. The first time round I was not at all happy with the way the service turned out. They did not use the synthetic oil I asked for in the Diffs, motor and transfer case, they forgot to align the headlights as requested, and they could not fix the washer pump as they had no parts. In addition, in their extensive 155 point check, for which they charge $155, they missed the rear tail light and both plate bulbs being out, did not examine the brakes and recommend a transmission flush, throttle body flush, brake fluid flush and coolant replace. The transmission and coolant had been done 3,000 klms earlier and I had advised the service writer of that but she had not written it down. To top it off. the vehicle does not have a throttle body. So I pick up my truck, get a bill for $600 bucks, and the main things I took it in for aren't even done. Service manager is not around. I dropped in a couple of times to talk to Dave, we never connected. Left him 2 voice mails that were never returned, and then sent him an email with the above content. Once he read my email, he called me immediately, which was a little over a week after I tried originally to get hold of him. Now all this sounds about as bad as service can get. The difference is in how they handled it. He was very apologetic about the poor service experience. He sent a fellow out with a courtesy car, picked up my vehicle on Dec 21St. (By this time I had fixed the washer pump myself). He assured me it would not be the same service tech. They re-did all of the oil with synthetic, fixed all lights, inspected brakes etc. Now this sounds like basically what they should have done the first time. While the service was being done, the tech examined the timing belt. It was worn, cracked and needed replacement. Dave called me to let me know and as I was going by, I dropped in. I was offered the opportunity to examine the belt on the car, but for some reason I had come to trust Dave and did not feel the need to wait another ten minutes to verify his recommendation. Twenty year old fiber belt, seemed pretty likely it would need replacing. I did see the removed parts and the belt and idler really did need replacing. Took them over Christmas what with the parts they needed. Did the water pump at the same time no charge, worth about $300 installed, as Dave's way of apologising. The bill for this work was another $800, against an original estimate of approximately $400, they also needed to replace the idler/tension pulley with a parts cost of $260. All in, spent $1400 dollars, very happy with the final outcome, but it proves that even at a well run dealerships it helps to know what you are doing because even they end up with rotten apples working for them. The proof they are a top outfit is how they fixed their rotten apple's mistakes. I would recommend them with the reservation that you must make sure you carefully check what was done, and what is recommended. More
From the moment I leased my vehicle and was told by the employee how to answer Toyota's online customer survey to being ripped off by the service department to the surly shuttle drivers,I have dreaded my d employee how to answer Toyota's online customer survey to being ripped off by the service department to the surly shuttle drivers,I have dreaded my decision to patronize this dealership and have told everyone I know to avoid dealing with these people."Bush League" is a term that comes to mind when I think of all the hassles I put up with over the four year I leased my vehicle from these amateurs. Thejus let me know that I could apply for a new vehicle and end up with much the same rates because of good deals right now at Toyota. I would never have imagined I could get approved for a new car. Maja Harding my salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, helpful but never pushy. She is awesome. Christopher Clarke my financial expert was actually a financial wizard who should likely be running the country. He is truly amazing. Able to get me financing at a decent rate from my own bank when they had previously turned me down in person! Thank you Chris and Maja for all your good work. More

As much as my wife and I loved our little cars, it was no longer practical for our new acreage (read couldn't make it up the slope of my driveway in winter). Maja was very helpful in showing us the vehicles longer practical for our new acreage (read couldn't make it up the slope of my driveway in winter). Maja was very helpful in showing us the vehicles and ensuring we had the vehicles that would suit us best. Thejus Swamy (new sales manager) found us the best rates for our two vehicles. He was quite personable, and a pleasure to deal with. Finally we dealt with Christopher Clarke (financial service manager) who went through every step of the financing with us, explaining it all clearly. All of the staff were very helpful and the wife and I love our new Highlander and Tundra. More

bought a 2010 Prius, misleading sales tactics, I declined the $399 Roadside Assistance add-on, they tried to make me feel that was a bad choice, but neglected to tell me I still had it until Sept 2013. Craig the $399 Roadside Assistance add-on, they tried to make me feel that was a bad choice, but neglected to tell me I still had it until Sept 2013. Craig Selby dodged my calls for over a week about doing the window tint for 2 small windows "they forgot to do" as per our agreement to tint all windows, and fix cigarette burn in carpet and have car detailed (never detailed it) now I have a battery problem with small battery...they say they charge to install even if covered under warranty. They will not refund money for diagnostic test which claimed dead battery was my fault, when actually the battery is defective. More
