Service Dept - with No Service Skills Initially the woman who checked in my car and also attended to me when I picked it up was excellent. I drove about a block from the dealership and not Initially the woman who checked in my car and also attended to me when I picked it up was excellent. I drove about a block from the dealership and noticed that my mileage had not moved from when I dropped the car off so obviously there was no road test completed. When I came back in and told her that my car did not get a road test as was stated on the invoice, she said " Oh, that's just a computer print out. We never do road tests in the winter" I live in Alberta, that means that 50% of the time my car has not received the full service I paid for if a road test is part of the "computer print out". And I don't remember anyone discounting the cost of service.This makes me wonder what else is on the computer print out that is not included during winter, (six months of the year). She said she would let the service manager know. I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership so I was not impressed. I walk to the drivers side of my car and on the ground next to my door is a Toyota hubcap. Both hubcaps are in place on the drivers side so I check the passenger's side of the car. My front hubcap is missing. As I am now late for an appointment I put the hubcap in my car and continue to my destination. I called service to let them know the situation with the hubcap and spoke to a male service agent. Again, I was told they would report it to the Service Manager. A few minutes later Doug calls me from the service department. He is calling me because one of his service agents said I was not happy with the service and could I tell him what the problem was. I asked him what information he was given. He said that he was told that" there was something wrong with the hubcap or something" I said there was a lot more to it than that and that the quality of the verbal communication at Kingsway Toyota Service did not give me the confidence to pursue the matter over the phone and that I would communicate via email so that the facts were correct. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of service and hope this is not indicative of the new owner's standards of business. More
