This Subaru family really knows how to welcome, accommodate and get a couple laughs out of customers. It was My absolute pleasure to service here. accommodate and get a couple laughs out of customers. It was My absolute pleasure to service here. More
We drove 45 minutes to this dealership to test drive a Forester. We were interested in making a purchase. I let the salesperson know that we weren't interested in any sales games and asked for a quote. Th Forester. We were interested in making a purchase. I let the salesperson know that we weren't interested in any sales games and asked for a quote. The salesperson had to get the quote from the Finance Manager. The quote was significantly more than the MSRP listed on the Subaru Canada website. I have purchased four other new vehicles in my life. I have never received a quote higher than the MSRP at other dealerships where I purchased a car. The salesperson was inexperienced and couldn't answer most of our questions about the vehicle. It seemed like the Finance Manager was making all the decisions so no autonomy for the salesperson. Inflating the price of the vehicle and suggesting that this was the starting point for negotiations is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, The salesperson seemed shocked that we weren't going to haggle with him and his Finance Manager. Do they think people haven't researched the price of the vehicle beforehand? The same tactic was used at the Oakville Subaru dealership. We went from being very interested in the vehicle to now wanting nothing to do with Subaru. These sales tactics are not smart and are insulting. Do better! More
Very negative experience, buyer beware - insulting tactics, stay away and take your business elsewhere. Go to any other Subaru dealership, do not shop here. tactics, stay away and take your business elsewhere. Go to any other Subaru dealership, do not shop here. More
Staff at dealership are good. Just the product is not good. 2025 Outback with only 5200 km and 13 months on the road should not have rusted calipers that need machining for $900. Just the product is not good. 2025 Outback with only 5200 km and 13 months on the road should not have rusted calipers that need machining for $900. Not covered under warranty. Caused by environment as per Subaru. Manager says even the new inventory gets rusted calipers if car sits a few months awaiting sale. Beware buying a Subaru that will need brake rust repaired constantly if driven low mileage every year! More
Bought a new Forester recently from Subaru of Hamilton. The process was radically different from the new Outback I purchased there 8 years ago. No negotiation which is the new reality driven by supply issues post Covid I suppose, particularly with hybrids assembled in Japan (I did not want a vehicle assembled in the U.S.). However, the sales pressure to take an extended warranty and buy extra packages was taken to a new level. I literally had to beg Michael Micheli, "Finance Manager", to end the sales pitch, get my keys and get out. He appeared to take my emphatic no as a personal challenge. I have purchased many cars over the years, new and used. Extended warranties etc make little sense and most people realize they are just additional money makers for dealerships. More
Beware of their devious and misleading price manipulation. They say "And we keep it simple—no hidden fees, just add HST and licensing." Instead $4,277 extra hidden fees manipulation. They say "And we keep it simple—no hidden fees, just add HST and licensing." Instead $4,277 extra hidden fees More
Called sales dept to ask about a quote on a new vehicle and was told to come in person as they are not allowed to talk about numbers over the phone. What a pathetic policy of them, they want you to come in and was told to come in person as they are not allowed to talk about numbers over the phone. What a pathetic policy of them, they want you to come in person to hook you into purchasing and adding warranties not usually disclosed over the phone. Sales tactics are very evident here. Called another dealership that provided me with all in pricing over the phone and even told me to avoid this place! More
The customer service here is not good. For months I've been trying to get someone to speak with me about my 2 year old winter rims that are rusted out on my 2024 Subaru. I have been callin For months I've been trying to get someone to speak with me about my 2 year old winter rims that are rusted out on my 2024 Subaru. I have been calling, texting and emailing them since November and have been given the run around for the past 4 and a half months. Every time I've connected with someone there they've heard nothing about it but will get someone to look into it. I was asked to send pictures and did, multiple times. I finally got an email today saying thanks for my patience while they looked into the matter and they are "open to" charging me 600.00 to have the steel winter rims repainted. Mind you they are only 2 years old, I purchased additional extended warranty coverage (3000.00) and even spent another 600.00 on an additional tire and rims warranty package they assured me was great to have. Apparently buying their expensive "quality" rims, and warranties mean nothing. I've had Canadian tire rims look better than these after 10 years. More
