I n Having done a fair bit of research before hand Subaru Calgary recognized that and were ready and able to speed me through the new vehicle process. I never felt like I was being "sold to" including the financing options and the extra packages. The staff explained every step of the process and answered all my questions reasonably and understandably. Overall for me a pleasant car buying experience. More

Proud to be part of the Subaru Calgary family Right from the beginning, Tariq was extremely professional and knowledgeable in helping my wife and I choose the right Subaru vehicle for our needs. Right from the beginning, Tariq was extremely professional and knowledgeable in helping my wife and I choose the right Subaru vehicle for our needs. He was patient and took the time to explain every detail and question I had which made me feel comfortable and confident as a customer. During the process, we also met sales manager, Ken, and he was extremely friendly, professional, and easy to do business with. The one thing that separates this dealership from others I have visited is that they choose to go beyond the sale and focus primarily on the customer(s). My wife and I are extremely happy to buy our first Subaru but more importantly, proud to be part of the Subaru Calgary family now! Big thanks to Tariq, Ken, and Subaru Calgary for an amazing experience! We recommend them to anyone looking for a Subaru. More
Never again I would never go back to this dealership again. The staff is completely disrespectful to first time buyers. They wouldn't give you the time of day and I would never go back to this dealership again. The staff is completely disrespectful to first time buyers. They wouldn't give you the time of day and talk down to you as if you cannot afford this car. Nothing but pushy and disrespectful salesmen. Avoid this guy. I have never met a sales person like this before. More
Beware of deposits Look at their previous reviews. It's the same story. First time buyers? New car? I'd avoid this dealership. Once a deposit is made, communication from Look at their previous reviews. It's the same story. First time buyers? New car? I'd avoid this dealership. Once a deposit is made, communication from Subaru is absolutely terrible. I've been told time and time again that "You will be contacted tomorrow", four days goes by, no response. This only lead to me having to follow up with them. Customer service? I'd say that's quite lacking. This was not from only the salesmen, look a bit higher up and managers will do the same. Their salesmen will ensure you that "you are not our only customer". If you think that's a valid excuse for bad customer service then I'd definitely recommend Subaru Calgary, but if you're looking for any kind of communication, go to Centaur for your next subaru purchase. I've already contacted Mike Bresset, their General Manager. Solution they offered was free oil changes as a "sign of good faith". Deposit is non-refundable, once any kind of signature is obtained they'll quote it over and over. I urge you to see their previous reviews and think twice before you give them any money. I certainly wish I stumbled upon these reviews before going to them. More
Great Vehicle but Terrible Experience I purchased a Subaru Outback, and while I like the vehicle, the purchase experience was a nightmare, the worst I’ve ever had. (I will only give some I purchased a Subaru Outback, and while I like the vehicle, the purchase experience was a nightmare, the worst I’ve ever had. (I will only give some of the specifics here, because all the details of this debacle would take much longer.) The vehicle arrived five weeks after the promised deadline, and it was the wrong colour. Instead of profusely apologizing, the manager was rude, (even initially refusing to speak with me), and gave a lot of farfetched excuses. After much discussion, he did promise to make it up to me at the time of delivery. Since I had already sold my car, I was given a courtesy car, which I soon discovered had expired plates and insurance, so I contacted the salesperson. Two days later, someone came to change the plates, and had no screwdriver, so I had to loan him one. When the right car finally arrived eighteen days later, I discovered that the rust proofing had not been done. I agreed to return a week later and wait while it was completed. At least the salesperson gave me free touch up paint for my inconvenience. Although the manager was around, he completely ignored me, and made no attempt to deliver on his promise. After returning home, I discovered that the 3M film was not done on my roofline, as contracted, and I immediately contacted the salesperson. Three days later, I had received no response, so I sent another email. The salesperson said he would forward my emails to the manager and finance officer. Four days after that, I still had not heard, so I contacted the salesperson again. He said he would forward my emails to another manager and finance officer. I finally received a response, a week after requesting, that the 3M would be done with the rust proofing. Edited August 19: Regarding the comment below from Subaru Calgary offering to "make this right", it never happened. They made very little effort, even after I called and emailed several times. It was more wasting of my time. Edited August 29 - The comment below about Ken Woo attempting to contact me a few times is also inaccurate. He tried twice during the business day, and I promptly returned his call, but he wasn't available. I then emailed and phoned several times, giving a span of time (hours) I would be available during the afternoon/evening, and nobody ever contacted me again. I have done far more work to connect than Subaru Calgary has, and it shouldn't be that way. Edited November 5 - I did get an apology email from the manager, along with a promise to follow up with a phone call. The call never happened so I considered the matter closed. A few weeks later, I had a call from another manager, and he gave an apology and an offer of a $500 credit towards future service work. I am satisfied with his efforts to make things right and will give this dealership another chance. More
The WORST Dealership I ever dealt with This Subaru dealership is the worst dealership I ever dealt with. No communication, no follow up, nothing after they took the deposit. Just a lot of yes, yes but later found out he had no power whatsoever and what he promised was simply ignored. Gave them an entire week to get our vehicle ready and the interior was still dirty...barely vacuumed. Instead of putting us at the top of the list for cleaning we were asked to bring the car back the next day and leave it for the day to get it cleaned. I was adamant about having the latest version of software for the stereo and was promised I would get it but what I was given was 2 years old. When I brought this to the Managers attention I was told "Too bad that is what we have and that is what you get" and then he rudely walked away and simply didn't care when I said this was not what we were promised. Any time I spoke to another person in the company I would get "Oh, you bought a used car...." comment (apparently second rate purchase). Wish we would have just walked away and demanded our money back but not sure we would have gotten it all back. This dealership is a poor representative to Subaru and I will never take my car to them for servicing nor will I ever darken their doors to purchase another car. This is the 3rd Subaru we have purchased and to be treated so poorly was just sickening. More
