Bad First Time Experience I recently purchased a Crosstrex from Subaru Calgary. I had an excellent experience with the sales associate. However, my experience with the finance I recently purchased a Crosstrex from Subaru Calgary. I had an excellent experience with the sales associate. However, my experience with the finance department was unsatisfactory. After purchasing my vehicle I learned that I was charged more than expected for the added plus packages and extended warranty. Plus, I was not informed of the $600 Subaru Premium Insurance fee. This was upsetting because I had not planned on spending the extra money for these packages. I felt that staff did not clearly explain the paperwork and break down the costs these packages would add to the vehicle. I was not told the Subaru Premium Insurance was $600. Also, the extended warranty and gold package I purchased was more expensive than explained by staff. When staff reviewed the Bill of Sale they did not detail the extra charges on top of my vehicle’s list price. This was upsetting because the final cost was $4000 higher than expected. Then, when I asked to cancel my extended warranty, finance said I could only do this through the warranty provider. However, when I called the warranty provider, Subaru Canada and a local Subaru dealership; I was informed this could only be done through the dealership. I called Subaru Calgary and the finance department kept saying I had to call the warranty provider. After two weeks I had to go to the dealership and ask to the cancel the warranty. However, staff kept saying I had to call the warranty provider until I explained my findings. Then staff obliged cancelled my extended warranty. Later, I discussed my experience with the finance manager. He apologized and offered a cheque to compensate my experience. He said it would be ready in one week. Three weeks later and many unreturned emails and phone calls, I returned to the dealership in person. When I asked for the finance manager he walked out and provided the cheque and said “here you go, I know that’s why you’re here”. Nobody told me the cheque was ready and the attitude was unprofessional. I'm disappointed with the financial portion of my dealership experience. The sales end was excellent, however staff did not thoroughly go through the paperwork to ensure I understood what I was buying. As this was my first time buying a vehicle from a dealership I would like to refer Subaru Calgary. Sadly, with this experience I cannot. More
Good service. Good vehicles. Our first Subaru was stolen recently. To replace it we needed insurance coverage. We also had a Subaru Theft Benefit which we got in the full amount. Presented with a intent, Gio and Ken provided a great offer. Though the delivery was delayed due to the car being past model year and BC fire, the great service Giovanni and Ken provided was more than enough to make up for it. Been a loyal VW owner for years, bought the outback for the wife. Having had such a great experience from Giovanni, we are converted loyal Subaru customer now, looking forwards to replace our other care with Subaru Calgary within two years! PS: almost forgot to mention Ryan from Finance, best financial explanation ever! Wish he could be my banker or accountant More

The entire team that helped me at Subaru Calgary really cared about making me feel like a valuable customer. After the test drive we talked and figured out what we needed. After a couple more test drives with other vehicles we decided to go for a Subaru. We were looking for a particular colour and they had a top of the line one available. I am a car cost Canada buyer and the dealership was very responsive, we agreed to the final price on phone and next day I went in and did the paperwork. Giovanni and Ryan (finance manager) were both very helpful and professional. The car exchange experience was very smooth. The dealership had done all they said they would. Giovanni explained the details of the car and we left with a great car and an excellent positive experience. More

I wasn't in a rush to buy, and was happy to walk out and go to another dealer if I didn't get a good feel, or the sales people were too pushy. I'm happy to say that I stuck around and am now the proud owner of a new car. Albeit not the one I went there hoping to buy (sold out across Canada), Giovanni and Ken were incredibly accommodating and enjoyable to work with, and helped me find a suitable option that still met all my needs, including financial. I'm sure all the sales reps are great, but if you can, chat to Giovanni, and make a point of meeting Ken, the sales manager. Great folks. Thanks guys! More
Terrible service We bought a used 2016 Outback from Justin. We test drove and negotiated the deal very quickly and I believe we came to a fair price. From there, it was all down hill. The dealership had some minor work to do on the vehicle and told us to come back in two days to pick up the vehicle. They advised that they would look after the registration and plates. We arrived as scheduled, waited 45 minutes only to find out that the registration was not done and the minor repairs had not been completed. Over the course of two weeks, we came back three times, made 7 phone calls to various people and dozens of texts to/from Justin; all just to pick up a vehicle which we were initially told would be ready in 48 hours. It took over a week to finally get the Carproof report. Myles was dismissive and, despite Mike offering to assist, did not. I am summarizing for the sake of efficiency but needless to say, we are not pleased with the (lack of) service. More
