From start to finish, our SUV buying experience at Collins Nissan was a most pleasant event However, what started our new car-search was neither a pre-planned event nor a much desired event. Just two days after Christmas,in Toronto, my husband and I had a frighteningly bizarre car accident.Our MDX Acura SUV with only 88,000 Km was totalled,a complete write-off! Two weeks later,back in the Peninsula, numbed and disappointed, we reluctantly visited a few car dealerships.At home ,we launched into researching car Consumer Reports. Grudgingly,we began the journey to purchase a replacement vehicle which we certainly had NOT planned for any time soon.Despite financial loss and a lingering physical injury,we are incredibly grateful that there was no loss of life. Therefore we are thankful to all the employees of the Collins Nissan Family for their helpfulness and positive approach in our reluctant journey to buy another vehicle,let alone a brand new one. From our initial greeting by receptionist,Amanda , to Robin and Chris; then, Fred and Geoff and finally,Melinda---- our sincerest appreciation to all of you for shepherding us to a successful outcome,a 2014 Pathfinder. ROBIN EVANS ,Sales Consultant, first welcomed my husband during his initial,solo visit. Thanks to your professional, warm welcome , Robin, your patience and genuine demeanour moved both my husband and I to return later that same day.While Robin had finished his day shift by the time we came back, it was CHRIS VAN WIECHEN who continued our initial exploration to find a good-rated and suitable SUV. We commend Chris for his authentic, no-pressure approach. Chris Van Wiechen strived to fully answer our multi-faceted questions with an earnest, problem-solving approach.Thanks Chris for assisting us with the Pathfinder technology, our enjoyable test drives and even the "colour choice dilemma". FRED FUOCO ,Sales Manager, was a welcolmed participant during and following all sales negotiations.Fred is unique : direct and frank, client-oriented and sincerely attentive to our situation. Thanks Fred for being consistently helpful while devoid of any of the classic undesireable strategies of a " pushy salespersona ". We appreciate your genuine self! General Manager, GEOFF MAC VINNIE , was at once graciously welcoming with a palpable , infectious level of energy and leadership style. Geoff was friendly yet, when necessary, was task-oriented to address the bottom line in our final sale arrangement.Thanks Geoff for steering us to the 2014 model from the 2013 demo.( after all, it wasn't red!) All in all, Geoff's involvement affirmed for us that Collins Nissan employees not only aim to be a cohesive team but in fact are a team that strives to meet the clients' satisfaction,regardless of organizational position. Nissan is fortunate to have such an effective team ! The Collins Team would not be complete without Business Manager , MELINDA RIDGERS . Together, Melinda helped my husband and I finalize the mountain of paperwork . This was done with Melinda's efficient ease,experience and a wecolmed sense of humour.Melinda was straightforward while presenting a vast array of options,choices and best practices.She is accommodating,knowledgeable and ever personable. Melinda was a pleasure to work with.Thanks Melinda for facilitating our vehicle's final "touches" far sooner than expected ! Following the paperwork, we came full circle back to our first contact,ROBIN EVANS . At the front door,we were greeted once again by Robin who now held the keys to our newly purchased SUV. With his signature warm smile and hand shake,he wished us well but not before inviting us to call him soon to schedule a follow-up session to go over any further how-to questions about the operation of the vehicle. We appreciate that he recognized that we need a bit of time to become familiar with our new Pathfinder (aka Ruby)...especially the Navigation System! So, we are now busy reading the humongous manual! As I drove away from the dealership, I felt a welcolmed sense of contentment .My husband and I are now the proud owners of a new 2014 Red Pathfinder, via the Collins Nissan Family who all worked so hard to give us : CUSTOMER SERVICE, QUALITY of WORK , in a pleasant atmosphere of FRIENDLINESS. Bravo to everyone! We now look forward tp future regularly scheduled maintenance appointments with a service department that is classed by many fans as Second to None... . "Nulli Secundus" ! He was incredibly nice and helpful and was very knowledgeable about the car models and different trim levels and options. Before going to the lot I did plenty of research on Nissan cars for over a month.They did not have the exact car trim model that I was looking for on their lot because this car model is very new It was released only couple weeks ago by Nissan however they managed to locate and get me the exact car with the colour that i wanted within a very short period of time, I am really impressed, these guys are professional.I also got a very competitive price, and they also gave me winter mats for free, very thoughtful of them. I couldn't be happier with the experience. Thank you Collins Nissan! More

Rob Reilly was quick to approach us on this cold day to see how he could help and was friendly to us. He worked hard to get us the car that we were looking for at the price we are comfortable with. Shane greeted us upon our arrival at the dealership. He was very pleasant and professional; and above all else, he was not pushy. He listened to our needs and concerns and addressed them accordingly. He was very pleasant and playful with our daughter who joined us on this adventure and made us all feel welcome. He was very well versed regarding the vehicles we were asking about and knowledgeable throughout our dealings. The nicest thing about Shane is that he is not your "typical cocky salesman", he truly tries to fit your needs and make the experience about the customer, not the sale. I would gladly deal with Shane again in purchasing another vehicle and would easily recommend him to anyone. Fred Fuoco was the sales manager we dealt with. He too was very pleasant to deal with. He had a nice sense of humour and was also very knowledgeable about the products. He was very fair to deal with regarding negotiations. Derek Schiavone is also very nice to deal with. He explained all the extras about the vehicle and if we had a question for which he wasn't able to give an answer, he went to the appropriate sources to get the info.
