Professional and courteous I've been to many different service providers, across Canada and I can tell you it's not often you find a services team as engaged and welcoming as th I've been to many different service providers, across Canada and I can tell you it's not often you find a services team as engaged and welcoming as the team at southside dodge. I've been to this service team a handful of times now, each time they were accommodating, prompt and maintained courteous interactions, regardless of the individual I've talked to. The first few interactions were under warranty, and I never had any concerns with them pushing off the problem; In fact they were proactive and communicated very clearly on what was done throughout the visits. Since then, I have returned for an oil change (never liked doing these at dealers due to costs) which changed my perspective. I have now booked my 100k maintenance and will be continuing to use southside as my go to. Thank you southside team, keep up the warm, welcoming famil-like atmosphere! More

Beware of SCAMS Starting with Alex Gillis ending with Manage They lead you in with false price or vehicle and then tell you they sold it after you made an appointment to view it and agreed on the vehicle then wh They lead you in with false price or vehicle and then tell you they sold it after you made an appointment to view it and agreed on the vehicle then when your not happy he doesn't understand why. ..... Not good customer service and empty promises.. Not once but twice which is why I bought my truck at kipp Scott after the first time I went to Southside dodge. The second time I was contacted by the Alex and I told him I would consider a trade if the right vehicle was found. He found one we made an appointment to view it then I was called to say someone was interested and it was gone before I could view IT.. I was not happy and told him that it was the second time and in so many words left a bad comment. His response was bye. Not service you would go back for. Update I was called by Mike Thibeau customer relations manager... who offered me a $75 Gift certificate and a Ram hoody (sweater) then proceeded to apologize for the way I was treated and after a short time I agreed to let the dealership try and repair the damage again.... I was given another salesman his name is Steve Vines. Who informed me that the numbers that Alex Gillis gave me where very off and he had another truck I could look at. He then proceeded to show me the same truck that was suppost to have been gone a week earlier according to Alex Gillis !! Confirmed by my text messages from Alex with link to site and him stating he could fit in my budget !!!! again the same truck I was told was gone...... Then I show all of this to the salesman who goes and gets the manager Matt Oszust he then listens to what happened I show him some of the text. He appualagizes and tells me he will look into it. I get a text back from Steve Vines telling me they are willing to give it to me for a 1yr 1/2 longer then the term I was suppost to have and an extra $10 a month. Now I wrote back, that I don't believe that this is my fault and with theses types of practices I don't feel I should be at fault for this. If the manager Matt wanted to call he could I would discuss this further. I was told Matt Oszust would get a hold of me he was busy at the time ...... that was 2 days ago....... I had no interest in trading my truck in or dealing with Southside Dodge again I did not go to the dealer looking for a truck I was contacted numerous times and finnally, I gave the salesman something to find that I would trade my truck in for. That is how this all started.... You be the judge does this seem like the biggest SCAM the very definition of BAIT AND SWITCH !!!! I WILL BE CONTACTING AMVIC ( THE GOVERRNING BODY OF ALBERTA AUTO Dealerships).. so no one else has to go through this. Here is a little history on myself I am 44 yrs male I am on a disablitity pension with good credit. And releasing my cell notes to the press. UPDATE #2 Matt Oszust called me two days later and told me that he was very sorry for not getting back to me but he didn't know to. So we talked for a bit and he told me that he could as a manager do more for me then anyone else....... lol I gave him 5 more days and he came up with the perfect truck........ It was everything I wanted (that is the truck) we proceeded to discuss terms over the next couple of days. Once we came to terms and I agreed I wrote everything that we agreed back to him. He came back again and said that he miss quoted me again and told me that he was giving me a term of 325 bi/week I told him that I had a budget of 650 not 325 bi/week seems the same doesn't it but one is over 12 months the other over 52 weeks if you add that up it comes to approximately, 705 monthly. and he wanted me again to go to 66 months instead of 60 which I again agreed. but my budget which through this whole process has not changed due to a fixed pension. At this point he informed me that he not only miss quoted me on this truck but remember the first truck that was sold in his message he stated that he could do the first truck no problem at the agreed term. again was told he miss quoted and did the 325 bi/weekly.. Last I checked when you go into a dealer letting them know you are on a fixed budget apparently no one listens all they hear is sale and how I can make it look good instead of doing it properly.. This is how they scam you I will keep this updated. I have filed a complaint with AMVIC after talking with customer service (Jen), I was informed that this is what the definition of bait and switch is. I am waiting at this point to hear back from them. At this point no action has been taken, once I hear back I will post the new information. Received an e-mail from Amvic saying they will contact me within 3 days, my complaint will be reviewed by an Officer and the complaint will be sent to the Dealership where they have 30 days. UPDATE Amvic contacted me and stated that they have sent the dealership my complaint and they have until Nov 4th to respond they are also sending all the information to consumer Relations of Alberta. If there is no response by Nov 4/17 I am told it will be sent to an officer to be looked at for legislative misconduct !!. THIS IS NOT A DEALERSHIP YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH !!. They are dishonest and use slimy sales tactics that comes from the top down !. On November 26 at 2 pm after some conversation I E-mailed CTV Edmonton the full story, On Nov 30 I spoke with Cindy Hogg at AMVIC we had 3 conversations of which she gathered information ( 6 e-mails of text including a screen shot of the link to the truck that was suppose to have been sold, which to this day is still not sold. She informed me that she is sending it all to an officer for review and he will get back to me. I am also in the process of making a sign that is approx 5 feet high and 4-5 feet wide that will state in neon orange color. BEWARE OF SCAM SOUTH SIDE DODGE READ REVIEW AT WWW.DEALERRATER.CA This sign will be parked in the back of my BLUE METALLIC GMC 2500 NEAR SOUTHSIDE AND ALL AROUND RED DEER. when you see me please give a honk and in support when you drive by Southside please honk 3 times and let them know that these practices are not acceptable.I will keep doing this until each person in red deer and surrounding area knows about this. I will update again after hearing from AMVIC I was approached by two men today (employees of Southside which I have on video ) threatening me with a lawsuit of 5 figures for slander, I explained to them that there is no slander I was referring to the subject line of my review. I was also told that after Amvic rules the dealership will have dealer rater.ca remove my review this was told to me by the first representative of southside unfortunately i did not get thst on video. if this happens I will create a website so the review can still be seen. And will write another one stating all that happened. No dealer or website should remove all bad reviews and stack the with good reviews. Isn't that censorship!!!!! Just to make them look good ! Not to mention I keep getting likes on dealer rater.ca from people who find it helpful !! Keep it up people !! AMVIC CLOSED THE FILE BASED ON MISS INFORMATION GIVEN TO THEM BY SOUTHSIDE... SOUTHSIDE DODGE GAVE AMVIC A TEXT I WROTE TO THEM SAYING I COULD NOT ACCEPT THE VEHICLE DO TO THEM GOING OVER MY BUDGET..THIS WAS THE SECOND VEHICLE (THE FIRST BY ALEX) THAT MATT OZUST AND SOUTHSIDE DODGE TRIED TO SELL ME THAT WAS OUT OF MY BUDGET BUT THEY MADE IT SEEM LIKE I DECLINE THE OFFER ON THE FIRST TRUCK BUT WHAT WAS FORGOT ABOUT WAS THEM TRYING TO MAKE RIGHT THE FACT THEY TRIED TO SELL ME A VEHICLE THEN TOLD ME IT WAS SOLD THEN TRIED TO RESELL IT TO ME WITH AN ADDITIONAL 3 YRS COST. THEY HAVE MADE NOTHING RIGHT AND HAVE MADE A MOCKERY OF THIS UNFORTUNATELY AMVIC AND THE DEALERS SEEM TO WORK TOGETHER INSTEAD OF COMING BACK TO ME AND ASKING QUESTIONS AMVIC CLOSED THE FILE. SAYING THEY TALKED TO SOUTHSIDE AND I DECLINED THE VEHICLE DO TO BUDGET RESTRAINTS. LAUGH OUT LOUD !!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS BECAUSE HE PURPOSELY SHOWED ME A TRUCK NOT IN MY BUDGET THE SECOND TIME SO HE COULD SEND THAT TEXT TO AMVIC SAYING I DECLINED. MY BUDGET WAS CLEARLY WRITTEN DOWN AT THE BEGINNING!!!!!!!!!!!! SINCE WHEN DOES A SALESMAN NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BI/WEEKLY AND MONTHLY !!!!!! ( WHICH AGAIN IS ALL ON TEXT ) ONLY ONE CONVETSATION WAS GIVEN TO AMVIC THERE WAS 3 IN TOTAL....BUT ACCORDING TO SOUTHSIDE DODGE AMVIC WAS SOOO VERY THOROUGH!!! BE AWARE OF THE TACTICS THIS DEALERSHIP USES... DON'T BELIEVE THE NICE JINGLES THEY PUT IN THERE ADDS !!! More
