From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a genuine smile from the staff to include Mike - General Manager, Peter- Salesmen and Danielle - Fiance Manager, which set the tone for my entire visit. The selection of vehicles available was impressive. I was particularly impressed with their transparent pricing and no-pressure sales approach. They provided me with all the information I needed to make an informed decision without any of the typical high-pressure tactics that can often accompany one's car purchase experience. My sales representative, Peter , was outstanding. He took the time to understand my needs and preferences, guiding me through the options without rushing me. His knowledge of the vehicles and financing options was evident, and they patiently answered all my questions. It felt more like a conversation with a comfortable acquaintance than a sales pitch. Once I made my choice, the financing/leasing process was smooth and efficient. The finance team to include Finance Manager - Danielle worked diligently to find the best options for my budget, and I felt completely informed and at ease throughout the process. Additionally, the dealership's facilities were top-notch. The waiting area was comfortable and well-equipped, making the time spent there enjoyable. I also appreciated the attention to cleanliness and organization throughout the dealership. Overall, my experience at Sherwood Park Volkswagon exceeded my expectations. From the start, the sales manager, Freddie, was not forthcoming about key details of the purchase, leading to an underwhelming result and unnecessary confusion. To make matters worse, the sales associate we had been working with was fired during the process, leaving us without a point of contact. Instead of proactive communication, we were forced to follow up daily for two weeks just to get updates on the status of our vehicle. After raising my concerns at delivery, I was made to feel belittled and embarrassed as Freddie informed me ‘he would never agree’ to the terms we originally discussed. We left the dealership incredibly frustrated with the final product, no assurance of a solution being possible. My wife was nearly in tears. This level of disorganization, deception, lack of customer care is how the auto industry got its reputation. Buying a car should be an exciting experience, not a frustrating and exhausting one. I expected transparency, professionalism, and efficiency—none of which were delivered. The management + ownership team clearly is disconnected from how their team actually operates. When asked to speak with management they were nowhere to be found with no idea of a return timeline in order to resolve any issues. More
