Fit the truck to the customer. I spent several months searching Winnipeg for a 2014 regular cab 4x4 with an 8 ft box and did not want a white colour due to glare. Everyplace I went I spent several months searching Winnipeg for a 2014 regular cab 4x4 with an 8 ft box and did not want a white colour due to glare. Everyplace I went tried to talk me into a double cab short box.I was having trouble getting comfortable in the seats of the new GM product and every RAM dealer had nothing in a regular cab to show me but had some on the way though none ever seemed to show up. Bob Wall at River City Ford spent the time to find how I would be using the truck and what was important to me. Because the 2015 Fords were coming out there was no more factory orders available. I decided that maybe I could use a reg cab with a 6.5 foot box that they had on the lot. I test drove and they seemed to fit the bill. I wanted a limited slip differential with the 4x4 setup and the trucks on the lot were not equipped. Bob found a truck in Saskatchewan which was equipped that way. It was a STX Sport package which came with an upgrade on the interior, running boards, tailgate step, sport grill package, and 20" machined aluminum rims on Bridgestone tires and the 5L V8 replacing the 3.7L six. Bob said he could bring it in and still fit my budget. I was sceptical about this due to all the other dealer promises that never materialized. He brought it in ahead of schedule and got the box sprayed and let me try using the tailgate step option for awhile to see if I liked it or he would swap it for another gate. On budget! The other dealers would push me to what they had available and started talking money and the fact the truck did not fit was no concern. Bob took the time to locate a truck that fit my needs. That was difference on deciding to buy from River City Ford. I went looking for a work truck and got a whole bunch of style thrown in. So far the truck fits my needs perfectly and I've grown to like the tailgate step that I used to make so much fun of. Great job by the staff and finance dept at River City Ford for making everything Simple. And to Bob Wall, a Big Thank You! More
