He was able to tell me why Honda has a good name and compared it to others. He had a great sense of humour which I like also. He spent so much time with me explaining the vehicle, which I needed as I was coming from one with no bells and whistles. Great experience for my first new car! More

Customer since 2008 won't be going back TLDR -Reid Wolfe (service advisor) did backflips to get us to try and spend an extra 2k-3k in un needed work and repairs. **Full story Below** I ha TLDR -Reid Wolfe (service advisor) did backflips to get us to try and spend an extra 2k-3k in un needed work and repairs. **Full story Below** I have had my difficulties with this "Dealership" (they are more of an auto sales place than dealership the prices on vehicles used and new are a little steep). My family has four Hondas which we have been serviced through Regina Honda for the most part. They have exceeded expectations fixing a flat tire for free and cutting us a couple of discounts (Dilawri rewards program). My first kerfuffle was when it took them over two months to find a part to fix my car a few years ago, but this week really capped things off. I took in our 2005 Honda Pilot in for service the service advisor was Reid Wolfe. I have had a generally good service with Reid but this week it floundered. I had three problems I wanted looked at. Problem one the check engine light was on. Problem two the SRS system light kept coming on and off. Problem three the driver’s side map light was not working. Upon diagnosis cost ($125) the downstream 02 sensor was not working correctly cost to repair (473.69) this was approved. The driver’s side seat buckle switch was malfunctioning and a part needed to be ordered in (231.99). The map light it was determined needed a new “circuit board” per Reid this was declined. Upon dropping off the Pilot on Friday February 10 Reid looking over the service history said that the Pilot was due for a new timing belt as it had been five years since last timing belt change this jobs costs at least a grand if not more. In my groggy state and trusting Reid I said sure to the timing belt change. Upon getting home I learned that the timing belt did not need to be changed as the actual interval is 7 years or around 100k miles not five years I called back and declined this service. I DO NOT appreciate being lied to. The O2 sensor change was also declined as the part costs $80-$130 (Reid falsely claimed it could cost up to $300) and should not take more than an hour to be installed. The charge of 473.69+ a diagnostic charge of $125 for one O2 sensor replacement is pure comedy gold. The pilot was picked up by me on Friday Feb 10 and brought back Monday February 13 and the seat belt was changed. Reid messed up getting me a service shuttle pickup wasting over an hour of my day. Total cost $124.88 (cost of diagnosing the O2 problem) + $231.99 (fixing the seat belt) + 24.83 (shop charge – they are to petty too pay for their own doo rags and nitrile gloves). Total charge 419.98. I took the pilot to a different shop where the 02 sensor was diagnosed and found to be operating fine and just needed to be cleaned cost (free a mechanic friend helped me out). The dome lite repair quoted by Honda at (214.31) was fixed by me in 20 minutes + one YouTube video and a multi tool (an electrical contact needed to be bent back). My trip to Regina Honda could have end up costing me almost 3k instead it cost me 420 and my relationship with Regina Honda. I am aware that they have nice value added services like a service shuttle, wifi, “multi point inspection”, car wash, high pressure salespeople, “rewards” program. But it is not worth the premium, unbelievably there is a lot more commonality between Hondas and other vehicle makes (GM comes to mind) and other shops and OEM parts will do the job just fine. Honda as corporate whole really drums up the whole quality thing and loves to stick a label on very part and charge a % premium (they charged me $2 for a 10 cent remote screw). As for the Dilawri group they are operating in a high price high polish sort of manner and I get it, but I also won’t be lied to or swayed by image control. AT More
