The mechanic at Nissan couldn't figure it out until the tow truck driver pointed out that the cables running from the alternator to the battery was not the correct size. We have had thus vehicle for five years now and I still hate it. One thing after another goes on it. We just wanted something affordable and reliable. The Nissan Kicks is just an all around terrible car. We recently ended up purchasing another Ford to replace our Ford with over 200k (no issues ever!) and I am in love with our Ford Explorer. It is a beauty! And drives in the winter! No dead battery. No incompetent mechanic and dealership. No Nissan to deal with. More

Brought vehicle in for repairs a few years back for a spark plug change and when I got it back it was missing the engine cover and the filter box was broken. When I asked the manager at the time what he spark plug change and when I got it back it was missing the engine cover and the filter box was broken. When I asked the manager at the time what he was going to do about it, he replied, " nothing". I left the dealership and never return again as I now do my own work and when it dies it will go to the dumpster. Do yourself a favor buy a Toyota. I was driving by in front of the dealership with my other vehicle while I called them to find out when they expected it to be ready, they told me it wouldn't take too long, that they had it in the garage snd were working on it. The vehicle was still in the parking lot as we were driving in front of the store. So just a lie. More
The worst customer service ever! !! While I was waiting to resolve my issue another customer came in upset that she could not get any response on the phone/email/ or in person. Per !! While I was waiting to resolve my issue another customer came in upset that she could not get any response on the phone/email/ or in person. Personally I could not get a call back on my issue so he to make the drive in from out of town. In the end, my issue was not resolved and I will have to go somewhere else after a month of trying. They did however do work that was not authorized that they gave me a credit for - after a bit of a struggle to get that. More

The absolute worst customer service! I made 4 trips into Red Deer over 2 days to meet with managers who conveniently disappeared upon my arrival. There have been several managers in the I made 4 trips into Red Deer over 2 days to meet with managers who conveniently disappeared upon my arrival. There have been several managers in the last few months in every department. My car was purchased in January 2023 and has been in the service department for a total of 6 weeks since I purchased it. The service department manager is rude, dismissive and condescending. He reduced me to tears in the showroom because he blatantly ignored my questions, would not look at me while I was speaking to him, walked away in mid sentence on my husband. He was so rude. A sales manager was left to get us our keys back, clean grease off our vehicle and refuel it since the dealership went through all my fuel driving my car around for 2 weeks trying to figure out the problem. They just kept saying there is no code so we don’t know what to do, leave it for a few more days. The running joke was that my new car has been in service more than I have had it myself. I failed to see the humor. I paid over $85000 for my car and we bought a second $35000 car at the same time. Our second car came to RD Nissan for body work after my husband was rear ended and it took over 2 weeks to fix a bumper. He requested they do an oil change while they had it in the shop and it was not done. He then had to take more time off to go back. He ended up sitting in the waiting room for over 3.5 hours for an oil change. Unfortunately we purchased a prepaid maintenance package and are stuck going there to get oil changes. They apologized and offered him another free car detail on top of the one they gave him for the mix up at the time of the sale. We were told we would receive top notch service and it has never happened. The general manager spoke with me last time my vehicle was in and promised he would make things right. He apparently is too busy to call me but had a sales person offer to trade me out of my vehicle, which is 6 months under my ownership (5000km of my mileage and over 1500 of theirs) and 1.5 months in service at a loss of $13k! His reason is that it was now used. Just wow. We are grateful for Troy in Service who did everything he could to help us, took my frustrations with grace and advocated for us. We won’t be back here for any service and warn everyone that these guys do not care once they have your money. Go elsewhere, save yourself the headaches. Most of the people listed in this review page don't even work at this dealership any longer because the turnover is so high. More

That first pump has a defective check valve that reacted like a pinched hose. That part was replaced under warranty with another aftermarket pump. That pump had a defective temp sensor. The OEM pump was ordered in March and was replaced on returning from vacation at full parts and labor pricing. Now, a few months later a part of the new OEM assembly has failed and I am excited to pay again. No wonder why the have gone through Service Managers. If not corrected we will be going to small claims court. More
