Bought 2 new Honda cars from this dealership I bought 2 Honda from the Parkway Honda. The first one is a Honda Pilot I bought 3 years ago and the other one is a 2017 Honda Accord that I purchase I bought 2 Honda from the Parkway Honda. The first one is a Honda Pilot I bought 3 years ago and the other one is a 2017 Honda Accord that I purchased recently. First the positive: Both times the sales staff were very friendly, helpful and answered all of my questions. No problem with test driving the cars unlike some other dealerships that ask for your credit card and want you to blindly sign some papers before you can test drive the car, at Parkway Honda the staff did not ask me to do any of that and only asked for my driver license. I did not feel any sales pressure at all and had a relaxed and joyful experience. I am very sensitive to any type of sales tactics or pressure and if I had noticed even a tiny bit of that, I would have left the dealership without ever coming back. Both of my cars had very low mileage which is of an extreme importance to me. It is very important to carefully drive the car for the first 1000 KM and for that reason I do not buy cars that are used for test drives by dealership customers, demo cars driven by the staff, or cars driven to the dealership from other locations. Back in 2008 I had purchased a car from a Saturn dealership and they drove it for around 100 KM before delivering it to me! Back then I had to file a complaint with GM Canada and effectively that was the last GM car I ever purchased and my loyalty to GM brand was diminished. When I bought the Honda Accord from Parkway Honda, they did not have one on the lot so I asked them to make sure they get me one from the factory and explicitly asked them not to drive one from another dealership. They assured me that would be the case and they delivered on their promise. When the car was delivered to dealership it only had 4 KM on it and by the time it was delivered to me it had just 6 KM. While I was waiting for my car to be delivered from factory, I changed my mind about the color of the car and the staff there very cooperative and they made sure I get the color that I want. In terms of price I got the Honda Pilot for a good price. With the Accord I did not get the price I expected but to be fair I did not negotiate much over the price and took the first offer they gave me. When the car was delivered, all the accessories I had purchased were correctly and installed and working. Areas for improvement: The dealership automatically adds some sort of car insurance to your purchase bill that will cost your few hundred box. Now that is a lot of money for something you might not need. You can use that money to buy a PS4, or a big screen TV, or winter tires for the car, etc... I had such a good experience otherwise that I had not even noticed this charge on my bill until like a week later when by chance I was reading an article on CBC about dealers adding these types of charges to customer invoices. Then I went back and checked my bill of sale and to my surprise it was there. Also, it seems that the dealership does not typically keep a large inventory of cars specially the more expensive ones. When I purchased my Pilot they only had 2 in stock, one was the showroom model and the other one was used for test drives. And with my Accord they did not had the colors I wanted so it had to be ordered. If you are picky about the color of the car, you have to be a bit patient and wait for it to arrive. For my overall experience, I am going to take one star away for forcing me to buy anti-theft insurance and give it a 4/5 rating since rest of my buying experience was excellent. More
