Head Games at Sales I put a great deal of time into carefully searching out a "new" car. OMS was on my radar for its name recognition and long history. To summarize -very- briefly my experience: 1. They did not pay attention to my purchasing goals and made recommendation of a car not of interest to me. 2. (In my opinion), for previously damaged cars they sell for far too high a price, and with no valuable data on the damage caused, the repair made, who it was by. I opted NOT to pursue such a car with them, but kept looking with them. 3. They do not provide suitable customer payment options. If you want to pay your car off in 36 months through their financing options, they will not let you. They force you into 48 or 60 month terms. That's nothing more than about making themselves more money on your interest. 4. They play misinformation games. I had a deal on the table for another car. The guy leaves to "talk to someone else" about it. Comes back and says the item I want included in the deal - the repair of an inside mechanical issue, would be 1000-1500. I could buy the car at the original listed price if they fixed it, or at the proposed deal without the fix. I knew better and said no thanks. I checked with my mechanic and sure enough, the fix was a mere $100 at most. 5. Next morning OMS contacts me to offer to do the fix and sell at $175 higher than the first agreed price because "oh, the fix wouldn't be as expensive as they thought. " So if I had bought it at full price the night before, would I have seen that money come back to me from their error? Not likely! 6. When we get over the humps of this price on this same car, and I've given up on many items I wanted addressed, but wanted this car, a new game begins. They will not let you buy a car with your credit card. So you as the consumer, cannot protect your purchase or benefit from whatever rewards features your card has. I got 2 different stories from OMS within 10 minutes as to why they couldn't accept a credit card option. Both rediculous. I have never had any company tell me I can't pay with a credit card before, and I've made much larger purchases than this car was with my card. They do not see the sale as a 2 way street. They see you as a $ figure to be wrung out as tightly as they can. Never, ever should you trust what they say. Always get your trusted expert mechanic and other resources to give you the real story when buying. I will never set foot on their lot ever again. More

Mich also delivered the truck to me so that I didn't have to drive 80+kms to pick it up, and when I forgot some stuff in the truck I traded in, he was quick to make sure I got everything back. This dealership was one of the first stops of many, shopping around to find the vehicle we wanted. The reasons we went with the vehile we did was 1. The price. Incomparable to other dealers. Other dealers wanted the price of a brand new vehicle, and a lot of the vehicles we looked at around the same year that we got, were in horrible shape. 2. Mich Lanteigne. He was on top of everything, explained everything about the vehicle for us, made us laugh. He was professsional and you could tell he loved his job. We went to other dealers who had the attitude "Meh, you should take it for a test drive to see if you like it". I would recommend this dealership and would also advise to ask for Mich Lanteigne. After getting a price from Michel, we thought it over. Then went back the next day and signed the papers for a final sale. We were treated with extreme courtesy. All of our questions were answered in a way we understood. Ontario Motor Sales' $1000 Loyalty Cheque sent us to their lot, but their salesman, Mich "SOLD" us our truck. Thank you for helping us and actually following up to see if we were happy with our purchase. I can hope we get the ten years of great ownership from our Silverado that we had with our Colorado! More
